what is his problem seriously??
why do reporters feel the need to ask him for his opinion on every single collingwood issue. and why is his opinion so highly sought? as a player and captain of our last premiership he had earnt the right to be a pies legend. but he's starting to get to me with his exuberance to dig the boots into "his" former club at any opportunity.

why should anybody take advice off the bloke who will go down in history as hopefully our last coach to win the wooden spoon.
he is also the coch that gave us frankie raso, jason wild, luke godden and many more gems.

i'm going to go out on a limb here but didn't Trent Hotton play up while t.shaw was coach of the pies?? Hotton was a pisshead too! Hotton urinated on 2 girls in a nightclub...great discipline/culture at the club!

i'm absolutely sick of hearing about Tony Shaw's opinion on the pies, the day he got us the spoon he lost the right to have an opinion!

Shaw is as bad if not worse then Walls as a media personality, his clueless and often just jumps on board the bandwagon and changes his opinion constantly, unless of course one of his nephews are involved in which case he is consistantly biased.

I don't think he has any class. I do not deny his passion for the club. The frequency and almost joy he gets in being a dial a quote sickens me and he should wake up to the fact he is being used by the media. Plenty of former players have criticised the club in much classier ways like Daicos and McKenna.

Great player and gave his all for the club, but now he is just another media grouch who like shawthing says, is a band wagoner and part of the media lemming brigade. At least us pleb supporters have conflicting views.

at least he has a go, he has the right to his opinion!

but in saying that, this is the coach of the DARKEST period of the Collingwood Football Club!

It's sour grapes for getting the ass as coach and his son not being good enough and getting axed.
Just sensationalizing things to keep his job in the media.
It seems the more controversial you are, the more attention they pay to you.
I think he is a tool. It seems like he is having a competition with the other dogs from the media like Caro and Sheehan at who is going to give it to Collingwood the most.
If I was a former player, I would not be saying one bad thing about my club.
His behavior reminds me of the character from the film - "The Club".
He is trying to undermine Collingwood so that he stays a so called great.

Caus the Journo's know that he'll say something that will rub some people (namely Collingwood officials, supporters etc) up the wrong way.

Does it all the time - it's like when there is some cricket crisis in this country - they ask the same old coger to make a comment and its always negative (his names escapes me at the minute - apologies)

Because they know he's going to open his gob and give them something

Neil Harvey. And you're right. He shits me too.

It's also farcical how opposition governments always come out and just make a comment on everything when it isn't needed and it's always the same quick, unthoughtful conflicting comments. The guy before Bailleu was the master of this (although Bailleu still does it), in fact all he did was disagree with Bracks. Alas I digress.

As an out sider,,,,,,,,so i may be wrong ,but wasnt SHAW captain of collingwood when you lost a star in a drink driving accident...?if so why then did he not stop the culter back then,MIGHT OF SAVED A LIFE ....yet now happy to throw stones:(

I have gone completely off Shaw, as I've said before, he's a little gob shite!
Whether this is due to him getting the sack as coach, his son getting the chop, or he's trying to be like Walls etc...I am not sure.

Yes the media know they'll get a negative comment about the Pies from him, and I'd love for the club to say "Shaw's been gone from the club a long time, and his views on the current situation are uninformed"!
