I'm 17, turning 18 next april. Ive been talking to this girl, and ive become quite attracted to her. However, she is 2 years younger than me. This isn't such a problem in the real world, but in a school situation it's frowned upon.

Adding to this problem is the fact that my cousin (also my best mate) is dating this girls cousin. His girlfriend is also my close friend and i think she may be protective over her cousin

this girl and i are continually flirting and we have plenty in common. The chemistry is there. I've been considering asking her out in the future, but im also aware of how frowned upon it may be

Your thoughts guys?

One for the Bigfooty Guide For Getting The Woman of Your Desire.

No idea why it's frowned upon at school. There was nothing at all wrong with that age gap when I was at school 2 years ago.

It's not frowned upon. Go for it son.

do it, in the absolute worst case scenario you will have left school in 12 months and noone will care

I finished school when i was 17, turned 18 the following feb and met a girl in May who was 16. had chemistry, we were all good being friends for a few months, then became a couple in December of that year.

A few of my mates gave me a little shit, but it wasn't frowned upon, it was just a little stirring. I'm 24 now and we are still together.

May i just say, harden the fu<k up buddy.

When I was in high school, I used to look down on guys who went for younger girls.

Now that I'm well into my twenties, I wouldn't hesitate in having a crack at a younger chick, if it were on offer.

Mind you, in the interim years, I've eschewed belief in objective morality and given up on ideals of a 'fairer' relationship between men and women.

I say go for it, son. Or, as my drunken uncle used to say, 'If it's legal, vooten spiegel'. I don't believe either of the final two words of that phrase actually mean anything, but we all knew what he meant.

If you're that keen, go for it.

If you're constantly doubting your values, etc; stay away.

Back when i was 17, i happened to have a relationship with a friends younger sister, who was 15 at the time. It was frowned upon by most.
But if i had my time again, i wouldnt change a thing.
In response to the OP, i say do it. Have some fun.

Yeah well if we went to the same school and were in the same year level, I would have been frowning upon you, don't worry about that.

As I said, these days I'm a changed man.
