Business & Finance Tooheys Ad = Epic Fail

I just saw an ad for Toohey's on Foxtel. Right up until the end of the ad, I actually thought it was an ad from the government about problem drinking to get people to stop.

It's the one that goes "Fixing a mate up, six beers etc" and ends with "taking him to mediation, two cases. Looking him in the eye and telling him everything is going to be ok, complimentary."

It couldn't possibly have been more depressing. The last thing I want to do now is drink Tooheys.

I know exactly what u mean. I thought the add was about how alcohol addiction can take over your life. It wasnt until the second time thru i realsied it was for tooheys new.

I agree, I thought it was an alcoholic ad or something. The whole beer economy concept is actually good but this ad just isn't right. The other one about the mates sister is good.

I thought it was going to build up into some humour but the guys voice really didn't help at all. Also didn't really have that epic music filled ending that you get with most beer ads...Quite depressing in the end...

Of your staples, tooheys new takes bronze in my view. Easily No 1 Carlton Draught, but dont drink after drinking extra dry as the first few are a bit rough, 2nd VB and 3rd, Tooheys new.
