Since the Australian media are so obsessed with how Australia is doing at these games I invite you to nominate your top 3 and bottom 3 countries in these games as the tournament progresses.
Top 3
Scotland. They go 6 gold in Manchester in what was virtually a home games, they already have 6 gold by day 5 and they are the only country to beat Libby Lenton.
Isle of Man. A gold and bronze. That win in the cycling scratch race was outstanding, with no support from team mates he was one of 5 to lap the field and on his own he burst from the pack at the finish to win comfortably.
India. Despite losing maybe 10 gold due to reductions in the number of weightlifting gold they are sitting 3rd on the table. Two games ago they only won 7 gold, increased to 30 in Manchester and looking like another good result here.
Bottom 3
Nauru. They got 17 medals in Manchester which equated to one for every 700 head of population. All those medals came in the weight lifting. No medals in Melbourne and they seem to have dropped off the radar.
Canada. They are bombing big time in these games, 31 gold in Manchester they have just 5 and two of those were in bloody synchronised swimming. They look like getting less swimming gold then they got in Athens!
Zimbabwe. Two medals in Manchester. Somehow I don't think they will trouble the scorers in Melbourne.

. In my top 3 I am dumping India and promoting Papua New Guinea.
