If they took Fev on board people would actually PAY to go to the NAB cup. Hell, the AFL should pay his way!
Fev at Essendon! I didn't think of that! This gets more and more funny! Search me why Essendon supporters aren't getting behind the top ups for the whole season. It's going to be a classic!

Carlisle's weight hasn't been updated since his second season and Petrenko is always getting knocked off the ball. No way either of them would be described as big bodied.
I dont think you've ever seen Petrenko play - the knock on him has always been skills and execution - strength and pace never a problem.

I wont argue the point about losing his feet (probably more getting to and away from contests than actually being in a one-on-one body contest) but for his height he is solidly built.

If the players knew they were being given banned substances this is probably the best outcome for the club, assuming they are proven guilty. There's no way they will be suing the club for millions if they were in on the whole thing.

Thanks for supporting the dons!
Only an essendon supporter would think this way, when the players go to sue them and essendon has to confess they knew everything or shut up and pay up what do you think is going to happen? The club with either face a debt totaling closer to 10mil then not or publicly shame themselves by admitting they have been trying to get away with cheating all this time.

$10 mill- that's nothing to Little.

works both ways. You think players who knowingly doped would risk law suits? Theyd be conscious the very act could backfire leaving them with a ruined reputation and not a cent compensation

It is inconceivable that a whole team of professional players would knowingly dope. There was a whole lot of misinformation from EFC and as I said before the club will be in a very dark place in the coming years.

US postal service, we are not above these actions here in australia.

We have already seen which way the bombers will go with robinson, they will pay the players out to continue covering it up and Dank while they are at it. The players only need to argue the club pressured them financially to sign up or leave. Maybe it doesn't happen now but when their careers are over and they are struggling for coin they will come running knowing it can no longer effect them

They all knew it was seriously "pushing the boundaries of the detectable limits possible", so I can imagine an environment in which they don't ask, don't tell.

I don't want to keep drawing comparisons to Lance Armstrong's team, but intentional doping can and does happen to a whole team of professional sportsmen.

The media has given the players 100% benefit of the doubt, and the public do too.

But I'm still quite critical of their mentality to receive hundreds of 'on the edge' injections, on and off-site, by various non-doctors, in a bid to get bigger, stronger, faster.

Whoops?

Robinson's case had the potential to change the verdict so it was best kept silent. The players actions will be after the verdict so I cant see the club being prepared to take a hit for the players if they are already found guilty and were part of the cheating

Theres VFL practice matches before the season starts. they just dont have some fancy name.

I don't really see an issue though the VFL season doesn't start April 17th. The VFL clubs are just getting in early in saying they don't want top up players playing in Essendon VFL which would be unfair.

Here's a compromise.

They can play Seniors for Essendon, but not Essendon VFL.

from the article
Further complicating matters is the fact Essendon's March 13 match against the Giants falls on the same day as a scheduled VFL trial game against Williamstown.

Sure. Williamstown may as well hold an internal trial game then with a few Essendon tag alongs. This is a joke.

It's one VFL practice game more than a month before their season and Essendon should be able to provide a minimum of ten players and the rest can be filled by development league players.
