Googely eyes couldn't pick a mature WAFL midfielder capable of transitioning to AFL playing under his nose, so he might have more luck picking names out of hat from Melbourne. Who knows? Well you obviously.

Err, he was in Melbourne so which WAFL midfielders were under his nose?

Has not ever lived in Perth, watched football in Perth, watched videos of football from Perth.

This O'Brien bloke is obviously a guy that gets a wad of cash from west coast without any specific job role. Vanderlay industries probably listed on his CV

Going to be an good year reading your crap

Has always been based in Melbourne to my knowledge. So how would videos of players in another state be “under his nose”?

Feel free to put me on ignore, I’m sure plenty of people with more discipline than me have done so to you.

"West Coast are firming for a reunion with speedster Brayden Ainsworth , less then six months after delisting him ".

"Lachlan Delahunty , Angus Dewar , Marry Narsh and recruit Stefan Giro are the leading contenders at Subiaco ."

Hope we cast the net a little wider then just the obvious few , WCE certainly have fewer top WAFL players to choose from .
Jarrad Garlett would be a chance I would have thought and SD have some good experienced players .

Surprising that they didn't describe Ainsworth as a tackle breaking machine whilst they were at it.

Give me Freo’s list over ours any day of the week.

Let’s hope we don’t see any of them outside of perhaps Fisher. Maybe Meadows/Mountford at a stretch.
Was always surprised that meadows never got drafted. Was a gun. Not sure about recent form

Why Ainsworth 😆

Go for potential upside at least
Ah cool thanks, I was at that derby (unfortunately, and the angle of what's his face kicking that goal from about 5 rows back was RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME :( ) so didn't hear the commentators ... But I did have lots of fun yelling out TOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOBE (rhyming with globe) every time he was near the ball.

It's the simple things.
Wrong derby. It was the first one with the locked out crowds.

I was also at that shit second derby. Let's never speak of it again.

So how does it work with these top ups, do they still play for their WAFL club if not selected by the Eagles?
They remain at their WAFL clubs unless our list gets so dire (which it pretty much already is) that we need to call on them.

Are we even allowed Tobe?

Thought we were already at our ranga limit.

Also, how do you pronounce Tobe? It it a bogan way of spelling Toby/Tobey or does it rhyme with globe?
I asked when he was drafted, it's just a dumb spelling of Toby.

Keidean Coleman is worse, though.

I have him in the Black category of not AFL standard. Guess we’ll see if he gets a chance.

He was just starting to look good at Collingwood before he did his knee…
In typical eagles fashion however he is coming off a limited pre season due to an ankle injury so im not even sure he is ready to play.

The top up squad is for the 2022 season, not for this week.

No idea who Steve Miller is but surely his nickname has to be Maurice.

Fly Like An Eagle .... that Steve Miller.

Jokes aside Miller is a very promising young player, Claremont got him down from the ammos's, tall can play multiple positions.
Played some good games for Claremont last season when they had ruck injuries and he did well.

Tall dude 198 cm and a good overhead mark.

I have watched a bit of him and like what I have seen.

Surely we have enough of them?

with the wafl season still 4 weeks away from starting on the easter weekend and no pre season wafl games being played as of yet i wouldn't be surprised if several top up players if not more may train with the eagles this week. considering the afl season starts this week it would make sense to give them some experience of what is required just in case they are called up later in the year.

Does it really matter, because if we, or any team for that matter, get to point where we need a few of theses guys, to field a team then they are well and truely already in shit city.

These lists are all about the vAFL ensuring that there are enough player to cover the numbers, so that they can play their full complement of games each round for 23 rounds .

The vAFL are not interested in the quality of the games, just interested that their broadcast partners get enough games.

Shock.....surprise ............. it's pure revenue and dollar driven, nothing more nothing less.

These are not about bigger vAFL lists as such and more players getting games and exposure , they are contingency plans.

100%

Was more a tongue in cheek comment that our list in general smells

I heard Rogers wasn’t able to be picked as an SSP as he didn’t nominate for the draft - is that correct?
