Total Aussie Rules 2004

I'm surprised this game doesn't get much of a mention here, although having to pay for it might put people off!

The new and improved 2004 version is out on July 1st, and if they screen shots and additions to the game are anything to go by, it promises to be an absolute ripper. They beauty also lies in the player editor - you don't like the ratings of someone, you can change them.

But there are plenty of new additions to the gameplay including training, news paper reports, pre-season, a runner during the game, match commentary, assistant coaches thoughts etc, plus improvements in player ratings, draft and trade weeks etc.

There will be a demo where you can play one season, but the full version where you can play up to 100 years costs merely $29.95. Bargain if you ask me! Check it out at:

Yep - certainly looks the goods.

Altough I've made a promise to myself to NEVER get pumped about a footy game before I actually play it (thanks Acclaim).

Can't wait for it, the screenies look solid, though I don't think it'll ever be a huge game or demand the big bucks until they use a different platform.

Still, I was happy with TAR 2003, so July 1st cant come quick enough!

played the TAR 2003 demo and it didnt realli engage me with the ingame screen

probably i was used to the FF commentary

now thats changed it looks better than FF and 30 bucks...pfft compared to game in the shop thats a real bargain

gunna get it as soon as it comes out

A. No. The game will only be available for purchase online.

Does this mean they send you the game or do you get a register key or something??

Looks intriguing. Like the draft and salary cap screens.

The training and game day screens look fantastic....but I didn't like the trade and draft week for 2003 and it doesn't look like it has improved that much....at this stage. I think its likley I will buy the game anyway.

These stats look great!

Love the 'Player Rank' stat - a great touch. (2nd from the right)

Also, the 'Opponent Pos/Mark/Goal' stat is a super way to size up how your tagging effort went.

wish they had of released it on July 1 as it was meant to be because i'm going on holidays on saturday so i won't be able to play it until i get back

anyone care to send me TAR 03, as i haven't played any of the TAR games and would like to get a feel for it (i'm also quite bored because i've got the flu at the moment as well)

Yeah ****s me when games do that why not just give the actual realease date or inform us that its just an estimate

they probably were certain on july 1st but problems came up or something

Thanks for your enthusiasm toward the game.

We made every attempt to make the July 1 deadline but unfortunately missed
it by a few days. We are just doing some last minute testing with the
installation and so forth. Because the demo version and full version are
contained in the same package the demo version won't be ready until this
Monday.

games looks great good stuff stratagem. the 2003 version wasnt very good but this looks like a cracker
