Greg Miller has recently stated that he would like to recruit some Dean Laidly type "tough half backs"
Considering half of Richmonds side are "tough half-backs" I would have thought this is the last type of player we need.

Richmond needs some pacy players with good decision making skills who can run straight up the line and deliver quickly to our tall (or perhaps soon to be short) forward line
(Although this wouldn't suit our current game plan of flooding the defensive half and chip kicking to 3 on 1 contests on the wing)

I think a player like Scott Lucas could straighten us up immensely

Incidently if Richmond picked up Brown i think it would be our biggest recruiting coup ever.

Ideal Richmond Trade Senario's

Bowden + Holland to Bulldogs for Brown

Ray Hall + Pick 20 to St Kilda for Black

Richardson to Westcoast
Wirrapunda + Haynes to Essendon
Lucas to Richmond

Considering he was probably next in line for All Australian Half Back + throw in a lazy 20 goals for the season

And taking into account Richmonds normal woeful rebounding disposal (other the Chaffey) Lucas would be a great pickup

You have already got one Biddescombe. HAHHAHA

Na but really maybe a solomon type would be good.

Solomon would be good in that we can play on the wing at times, however I think Richmond has got plenty of tough players ie Kellaway, Tim"sniper"Flemming, Greg"elbows"Stafford, Zantuck, Johnson, Coughlan etc..

What Richmond need is more class players not recyled hackers

Lucas.. Id hate to see him in tiger colours. He may have finished the season well but he still hasnt proved enough to be a quality player who performs week in week out.

I dont think Black is much chop either. Might pick him up late in the draft like Blumfield but I wouldnt aim for him.

Richmond have to aim at the best players for once. None of this second level crap.

When black was playing for Freo he was picking up 30 touches a game, I think with a big preason he could still be a gun,

I concede that Lucas duley deserves much criticism but I think Richmond is in dire need of someone/thing that will straighten up there game play/plan

Richmond has never been good at playing to our strengh's...tall forwards

Lucas may not have "pinpoint" accuracy but what centre half back does?

Lucas can however kick a ball 60 metres while dashing out of defence, and if the ball is moved quickly before richo & co are triple teamed we'd have a good chance of a semi functional attack

Incidently i sound like some big Lucas fan which I'm clearly not however I think he would fit into Richmond well (but than again my grandfather would probably fit into Richmond well)

Although he has obviously lost some pace over the years he'd slot in beautifully on a half forward flank possibly with a view of some midfield rotation on the ball

I think we should offer him a 3 year deal on around 350k. What could possibly go wrong?
