Really disappointing news about Adams. Started the year in Brian Lake 2008-10 form, was an absolute bargain.

Don't like it when players go home because they're 'homesick' but this is certainly an exception and I can't begrudge the guy for wanting to go home. I know that if I was in the same situation there is no way I'd be living in another state.

Let's hope we can get something good for him, theres no doubt he is worth a first rounder but let's see what we can get done. You'd think West Coast would go hard at him too, backline of Adams, McGovern and Barrass, that's a lot of interceptions and we all know Freos KPD issues. Looking forward to a bidding war!

Of the KPD we could potentially get back in a deal, would be happy-ish with Collins from Freo, not to keen on McKenzie and a definitive no to Brown.

This thread is good gear today.

Well done to the western bulldogs for fronting the media and telling us what the **** is going on.

Hold on....
What exactly would they say?

Hamling: "He is weighing up an offer from Fremantle. He's working through his decision. We certainly want to keep him, there's a contract offer there that we think is fair, but if he decides to explore other opportunities we'll look to work through a trade that is beneficial for all parties."

Adams: "He's contracted and a required player. If the right opportunity arises he wouldn't mind exploring getting back to his home state, but it would certainly have to be a very good deal."

I'd rather the likes of JMac spend their time working through the actual deals/contracts than spinning the wheel of clichés for us. There isn't really a whole lot to say.

Adams Manager on Trade Radio saying expect him at the club next year but have had chats.

No point letting him stay next year then losing him for nothing.

Get max value for him now.
Bevo will back himself to try and change Marcus' mind. If he has a strong 2017 season, then he retains his value anyway.

That would pretty much be the perfect thing to say at this point.....

Sometimes a bit of reassurance of developments is nice to have instead of letting imaginations run wild.

lol absolutely no idea

Losing two Kpb when we were probably one short is disastrous.

But some can live with their heads I their butts and pretend it's all flowers.

How many Kp players did the Hawks lose over their gf wins???

But hey we won a flag who cares how we go next year I guess, we won this year so clearly we are good enough to challenge again with less players.

But just to clarify we re-signed Jong and that will probably cost us Hamling the bloke that shut down Kennedy, Cameron and Buddy!!! But again hey who cares ???

Dead set no idea some people

dude srsly...

We haven't lost anyone yet. If we do Adams only played the first half of the year and no finals. Hamling played well in most of the finals but has otherwise been inconsistent and never cemented a spot. Hardly the end of the world if they both go home. And what are we meant to do - pay them ridiculous overs to keep them (great list management there...). Or maybe we could relocate to Perth so they'll stay :drunk:

Hawks...ummm only the most valuable KP player in the AFL at the time - Buddy.

Hammer is the only player considering leaving that played in our finals...so yeah do reckon we can challenge again even if we don't bring anyone in. This team is full of kids with lots of natural improvement to come.

Jong cost us Hamling...ffs dude you're a badly broken record...we have plenty of cap space to pay Hammer $800K if we want to. But luckily the club isn't scared of their own shadow and going to pay stupid overs like you seem to think they should.

Thank sweet baby cheeses that you have nothing to do with running our club.

Even if he plays well his value will go down if he is uncontracted.
Depends on his form and how required he is

If Charlie ******** Dixon can get a first and second being out of contract then anyone can, providing they are worth some value.

Settle down, struth. Listen, you had your fun when you thought Jongy was leaving but you were wrong, again,so it might be time to give our premiership side a bit of a spell from your constant criticism a perhaps realise you get it very wrong,a lot
