I believe we made a VFL signing yesterday to a formally AFL listed player with talks of mid season draft elevation if he performs and if a spot is there.

Elijah Hollands is probably the only formally AFL listed player who might fit this scenario.

However, if we eschewed formality and included formerly listed players, the field broadens somewhat.

Likewise, only delisted last year, found this comment (talking about his delisting) on Reddit interesting.

'Olli Hotton a bit of a surprise, I heard he was injury-prone but I also heard good things about his potential. I guess the team that drafts Taj Hotton might give Olli Hotton a lifeline in the rookie draft, just to help Taj settle in to the AFL, particularly if he's drafted by a non-Vic team'.

Maybe we wanted him last year too but didn't have the list spot, similar to Restchko?

Should get Holland's to train with us with the carrot being picked up as a supplementary spot. That gives him a month or 2 to prove he's got his life together. If we're not satisfied it's no loss. If he gets fair dinkum we pick up a kid who was touted as the possible number 1 pick for free. Can't lose either way.
