Why not have a look at someone like Ryan Murphy from Dockers. Does reasonably well at WAFL level, just never given a go at the right time. He is no good when Freo was struggling, but in a team where there is a good midfield he might go OK. Is a good set shot, which is more than most of our big guys can do.
Just a thought, probably get him for nothing or trade for Joe Anderson.
Murphy like Ben Mckinley is a very good WAFL or VFL player but not good enough for the AFL.
A prime example of this is Digby Morrell, a great VFL player but sruggled when he came up to the seniors.
