S Gray may go if the club thinks Snelling will become a long-term player at the club....but I think we'd only trade him if we got a 2nd round (or better!) for him...(unlikely).

Im against the Lions getting any type of priority pick, but heck if they want a few of our fringe players, the AFL can give them 2 or 3 second-rounders, that they can forward onto us!

Absolutely, I just can't see Ken and co. making that call. We need to trade players with some currency. Hartlett has a name for himself, Sam does not.

Hartlett for Darling i think would make a lot sense for both clubs.

Both players fill a need.

Get the feeling both would possibly do better getting away from their home state and it might just be the kick both players need to take their game to the next level?

Which club would say no? My guess is WCE. If i was Port i would request / make the deal.

Darling is good but his sphincter tightens up. We have a Westhoff already.

Trade out players to bring in players because our midfield is undersized and poor by foot to bring in a undersized player who is average by foot?? If he is an upgrade on Sam gray , Neade or impey it is by the smallest of margins and would cost us a second round pick. Blah.

That about the extent of it. If teams want a ready ruck it's pretty much witts or trade for a contracted ruck.
