Agreed. I'm glad we got Brown, as, hopefully, it means we'll stop trying to turn Brodie Martin into a small defender. But I can't help but feel we've paid overs here AND on Gunston.
Still, it's a gutsy move. We haven't had access to top end talent for a LONG time, and we've taken a risk to do it. Nice to see a new approach.

Will be interesting to see what happens with Maric and Armstrong, as well as whatever else is in the pipeline.

Still can't see how the Gunston deal had anything to do with this (that was the excuse for our reaming).

Maybe we were meant to exchange pick 24 for something better but got shafted again?

Great to get Crouch but cannot help but feel we got shoved around in the desperate last minute frenzy and we had to accept a lesser deal.

May have paid overs but with Brad Crouch we are getting ELITE. To get elite im more than happy to pay slightly overs. As for Brown - Tyson Edwards with more pace...

The trade radio boys including Nathan Thompson think this is a great trade for Adelaide.

Thompson thinks that Crouch would be a top 5 player in THIS draft and Brown a 1st rounder between 15 and 25.

He said that you can see that Adelaide has a plan and a direction to where they're going and he likes it!!

You gotta love Sando. He's already changed us from being a conservative club to one that's out there doing it!!

We had to get the Gunston deal done so we could put all our effort into the GWS trade. Pick 24 might have been on the table for some time before it came down to the final deal.

Don't get how we are paying overs???

Pick 10 in a weak draft (ie say Pick 15 next year) and then our compo pick so lets say around pick 6-10 in a draft that's already had the best couple taken out.

We are getting Pick 2-4 next year and a guy who could've gone relatively early this year.

Well, it's sounding more and more like Brown was a potential late first rounder this year anyway, so I suppose that's a good result all up.
Compo pic (5-10ish) for Crouch (top 5ish), Pick 10 for a bloke worth between 15 and 25. Even enough. Much more comfortable with this now.
I've watched a bit of Norwood this year, and Brown never really jumped out at me, but I'm happy to go with this. Good work, team.

To get a Crouch we would have to finish bottom 3. I'd rather lose out slightly in a trade deal than finish bottom 3.

Why do you say that? I can't get over the number of times the Club has said Tippett is NOT for trade. Why do people still think he is? Maybe they read Rooch's fanciful writings. Look at the "facts" that are simply wrong in his articles.

I like the fact that we have both Crouch and Brown but it seems like we paid a lot more than we should have when you consider that other clubs are getting pre listed players for very little.

So far it looks like we were under paid for Cunston and we overpaid for Crouch & Brown. Hope there is more than we can see.
