I don't think pick 24 will be with us by weeks end, still plenty of shit to go down.

That will save me having to listen to or watch the draft. With Adelaide's picks currently 35, 46 and 64 I wont be getting too excited.

Are they cousins?

I don't think so? Just wishful thinking!

Norwood are sure to lose more players this year so it would only be fair if we somehow snared him:p.

Well if that's the case, let's hope its not PAFC where their father used to play. :p

I think they've well and truly got Port out if their system now!

Amongst his interviews, Noble did say that he hoped that we would land a big fish.

We haven't done that to date and the only way we will be able to do that is to trade Tippett IMO.

I don't want to, and I would much prefer that we didn't.

As I've said many times, I would only trade Tippett if it was heavily in our favour, and with Brisbane, the bar would be pick 8 and Redden.

I'm still wondering where pick 24 comes in to things but according to Noble it was something which was a part of something much bigger.

Maybe that might be we give Tippett and pick 24, for pick 8 plus Redden plus Polec.

Is that fair? Don't give a shit as I don't want to trade Tippett.

Grundy of Sydney is someone else we'll have a crack at, but not sure of his contract status and whether Sydney would do a trade for him.

He fits perfectly into the Sanderson model of having a strong defence being the cornerstone of success.

Minor trades still to be done are Maric and Armstrong out, and Tom Lynch of St Kilda in.

Noble will be definitely back on trade week radio - it's just a matter of how many times!! :)

We loose both Tippett and Maric then we'd bloody well get an established back up ruckman.

We just might end up having pick 8 in the draft.

For what we would have to pay to get it, I'm not that keen. I like the idea of Tippett and Walker in the forward line. In all the dealings I've had with Kurt this year, the impression I have is how competitive he is. He wants to be a part of something successful and he seems to like it here.

We just might end up having pick 8 in the draft.

Which we could then package with another pick for an upgrade to pick 5 (before pick 6) which could be used for Wingard from Sturt.

Why do we want pick 8 in this year's draft? There are only 4 elite prospects, plus O'Meara and Crouch, this year. We will not get an elite player with pick 8 in this year's draft. Trading Tippett for that would be a waste. We'd be much better off keeping him, at least until next year.

Doesn't sound like the Clark deal was final at all.. Nothing else on that since it was posted on here...

possibly 24 will be used to get a defender from Ess and maybe Jenkins their ruck.

We know the crows still want a KPD and Ruck and Lynch and 2 more midf types. Still a long way to go....

Yeah, the only reason to get a high pick this year would be to get Wingard. He'll be picked in the top 4, so we'd need to get pick 3 or 4 from GWS to get him.

Can't agree.

We would never have had a crack at the mini-draft under Craig IMO.

Why not?

He didnt like trading players.

People said alot changed last year at trade time with jacobs. Well Craig was still there and I disagree anyway. We simply landed a player that we tried to get the previous year. We didnt trade Sellar to do it.

Openly shopping blokes like Tippett, Knights, Douglas etc would be a new direction.

would still like to deal for Lynch...I rate him and could be a KPD we need...

I remember the club saying Young's position on our list could be determined by what happens in trade week...if we got Lynch it would probably be bye bye for Youngy unfortunately.

Musing about pick 24, and reading that Brogan and Cornes still need to be traded to GWS.

What about Brogan and Cornes to GWS, Pick 14 to Adelaide, Pick 24 to GC late picks from Crows and GC to Port.

Or something similar involving Power.

Reckon we should dish out pick #24 for brad ebert

Nope. I seriously don't rate Ebert...we cannot afford more guys with poor foot skills and decision making. And he'll forever be trying to orchestrate an exit to Port. Would keep 24 instead.

Also don't want Cornes for virtually any price cos of his age and limitations.

I'd much rather make a play for Lycett (especially if we lose Tippett). Grundy also holds interest around that mark.

I would much rather us trade 24 for lycett but eagles have the bargaining power there and will want more, would defs be worth it though with the impending loss of maric
