Brad Fisher for Luke Jericho

Hmmm - it seems weird to say it, but maybe not.

Not that Fisher isn't a clear upgrade, but he is a mature player and we need to be able to clear some numbers off our list to add juniors. Perhaps if there were other decisions (Goodwin retirement, Griff/Johncock traded for picks), it would make sense, but we need to have the lsots on our list for new draft picks, and he is an obvious possible delisting.

hmmm...don't know much about Brad Fisher and the role he would play if at Adelaide...but at the moment, i'd think they could just take Jericho for free...they're still reminiscing that bag of goals Jericho once kicked against them.

fisher is a complete dud & carlton would laugh all the way to the bank.
fisher is a soft hff that has no upside & cant kick for sh!te 30 mtrs max
cant believe anybody would consider him.

you would be better of with pettifer at least he has kicked over 100 goals in 3 years in a crap team................... good luck next year guys

Off to the Shultz board you go mate!

Fisher isn't an answer to any of our forward line problems. We would be much better off spending extra time on developing the big young forwards we have than piss around with a player about on par with Gill.

Not saying he wouldn't be an upgrade on Jericho but would he end up just being another list clogger anyway?

the crows should try and target 1 big name in the trade, hopefully Didak

IMO in 2009 our improvement will come from within our list.

Last year the Crows took the risk by Drafted Dangerfield, Walker, Kite and Jacky knowing that they were 12 months away from being ready

12 months on, Dangerfield, Walker and Kite will be ready to go in 2009, throw in Hentchel and these lads are all like new recruits.

The positives, Walker and Hentchel can solve our forward issues, while Danger and Kite are the players we need to run lines with speed

throw in the further improvement that is expected with Maric, Knights, VB, Symes, D-Mac and Vince

we will be stronger in 2009

Otten is ready to go as well, at this stage he would be my early favourite to replace Bassett.

Talk about unrealistically high expectations. Walker has been very good in the SANFL this year, but expecting him to "solve our forward issues" in just his first year in the AFL is asking a bit much. Hentschel is no better, having missed the last 2 years with injury there's no guarantee that he'll ever play AFL again - and if he does there's no guarantee that he'll be anything like the player we saw in 2006 before his knee was destroyed.

I'm hoping Hentschel can make a comeback and I'm hoping that Walker will make an impact next year, but to expect them to be our forward line saviours is way too much to ask.

Vader, c'mon man....Walker will cure cancer next year :thumbsu:
