true, we only won 5 games for the year, but I liked his body language and his "desire" to win for the club...... the way he threw himself in the packs at times, only to get knocked out, but he tried hard.....

not over-analysing the man, just liked his commitment......

I agree with the WCE board. Not only is it ****e and immature i think the worst thing that puts me off is the setup. Havent been back in a long time but these boards are easy to access, easy to read, they may have changed the WCE board but as i said i havent been back in a long time.

Anyways on the topic, im glad WC are sitting it out. Everybody is going on about how good this years pick of youngsters is so lets use that to our advantage. On Taylor, i agree with Goldenblue, he shows commitment and the desire to win, he never seems to stop trying and thats what the club needs. Too many kids drop there heads when were down, cant let that happen next year and Cousins has to be the catalyst in keeping heads up. Hes the captain and must lead by example, if were down do something spectacular or win the hard ball or even shout at the kids, get them revved up. Show them that there leader wont give so why should you!

Well ive gone off topic now :D Oh and Frodes ... you have blown me away!! I thought you were like 20!! Your married and have 2 kids??? How old are you really?

You must be young at heart because all this time i havent once thought you were older than 22. Your obsession with LOTR too, i thought if you were a parent you would think about the kids and there lunches and who picking them up and got to get that done at work and pick this up and drop him there ect ect ect (not implying in anyway that you are a bad parent )

Im 20 but one of my best mates is 28 and has 1 child with another on the way and he never watches movie...maybe im just been sterotypical?

Does anyone know whats happening with Chad Morrison? I've heard several Vic clubs are interested, St Kilda to mention one, but I haven't heard of any possible deals. WC aren't prepared to give him up lightly and rightly so, but are other clubs willing to give quality back? Hawthorn aren't interested in him so that rules of Croad and McPharlin, who LMAO, may both end up at Freo. Even if we aren't going to do much at trade week, we may as well trade aggresively with the players we are trading.

I just found this in The West:

Former No. 1 draft pick Des Headland is determined to return home from Brisbane but he faces an uphill battle after Fremantle rejected the Lions"demand for a first round draft pick. And West Coast has already said it will not trade its early picks.

And

St Kilda has stepped up its interest in West Coast midfielder Chad Morrison. The Saints expressed an interest in the Victorian on Monday and contacted the Eagles yesterday.

So we might get Headland and some other goodie from the saints.

On another point, I am worried at the calibre of players Freo seem to be getting. Latest news is that they want Croad and McPharlin, add to that Farmer and another player they will get for Black and Bandy, and suddenly they have a half-decent team.

Why haven't the eagles gone after Croad and McPharlin? We better get Headland, because if he goes to freo I'll be ticked off!
 
Bloody oath, talk about salary cap problems in a couple of years! Add to those players they might be getting the #1 draft pick and holy moly, they might rise from the bottom! :eek:
 
Freo are trying to Buy a team, look what happened to Saints this year, nothing. Freo should concentrate on keeping they're young guns, but a couple of pick ups will be good for them, now that 3 of they're highest payed players are gone, and they may delist Metro.
 
I am a little worried why the WCE are not so active in their recruiting....if Morrison does go, I do hope we are aggresive in getting something in quality back......

As for the Shockers.....how many players in the past have they had that have come over with a reputation and still the team struggled.....I wonder if its a mentality thing around the club........
 
Well im not worried about Freo, right now all they have that is confirmed is Farmer. Everything else is still questionable. And anyways Freo have a history of performing badly and i cant see a couple of players like Croad and Farmer could turn the rot. If they got like a Cousins and Tredrea.... that would turn a club.

Farmer is inconsistent and nobody else is actually confirmed. Lets wait until trading ends and see whats what.

That's the "benefit" of being a s#it but financially secure team for half a decade - eventually all the high draft picks start to pile up and the system ensures that, unless you are being run by a dozen monkeys, you will eventually have a capable team. Now at the moment I think Freo has 11 monkeys and Cameron Schwab, hence the bright future :)
 
Misiti???? High draft pick, presumably #6 and a player for a 27 year old kinda injury prone player??? That what is said on the WC website. Also stupid stupid annoying please stay away from our club Moorcroft is also involved as is Peter Matera.

What the hell is our club doing. Matera must stay !!!!!!!! Moorcroft is someone we dont need, is WC aware we have Phillip Matera and Merenda?? Our top draft picks must not be traded and if they are not for Misiti!!

None of this is a done deal so dont have a heart attack but i dont like it. Please dont do it WC.
 
WC have quite clearly stated that they will NOT be trading our two first round draft picks, they're worth too much, certainly more than two ageing Bomber stars.

I just gotta share this with you guys, I know it wouldn't be true(unless GEelong are VERY thick) some geelong guy reckons they've offered Bizzell, Houlihan and a High Draft pick for................ wait for it, COUSINS. I just had to laugh when some guy told me he had been told that, Some bloody wishful thinking on they're behalf:D

The latest trade talk as reported by the Media over here is Chad Morrison to St Kilda for the number 5 draft pick and Des Headland to West Coast for the number 6 pick. Not a bad trade overall as far as draft choices go. Kodie

Is Headland worth pick 6? I would rather just keep pick #5 and have 3 of the first 6 picks. If we kept picks #3, #5, #6 and #22 we could pick up some serious talent. We could really dominate in a few years time.

Off the WC official forum. Its bulldust, the saints won't trade such a high draft pick for Morrison on his own, there must be another player involved if this deal has any credibility at all. Screw getting Headland if it costs us a #6 pick, I'd be very happy with picks #3,#5,#6,#22 and #38. Talk about bringing some quality youngsters in!

Yeah that would be great if it went ahead but there has to be someone else involved. Morrison is a very good player but not worth a No.5 pick just by himself. Maybe Braun aswell seen as the Saints probably need some midfielders with the imminent retirement of Harvey and Burke.

Still though Morrison and Braun for No.5 is probably not the smartest move for us seen as we are also short on quality midfielders.
