Those thinking of trading tarrant think again. If we had a half decent team on the field (we do have a pretty damn good side) instead of injured etc, he would be All Australian every year, remember the year believe it to be 2002 or 3 ********ing dominated every week. Just need Rocca and the rest to atleast stay injury free for more than 2 games. We are right, just use our 2nd or 3rd pick plus the 4th or 5th, pick up a gun young midfielder with the early pick, and trade the other plus our 2nd rounder for a lucas/whitnall to play chb.. or a a polak etc. thats all we need. we will pretty much finish 15th as hawks only need to win one more to pass us. even carlton might if we are gonna play last few rounds for the picks.

Top young midfielder plus bargain power with another great pick to get a quality player from another team. The top 5 of every draft is always great moreso the lower ones in recent times so there worth the value.

i totally agree with you! i dont want to trade taz! he is a gret player and even better in a good side! but the fact remains that we havent been able to land those big names during trade week because we havent been willing to trade away anything of any worth! i think that we have the most room for trading out someone in our forward line! If we want a star player we need to give a star in return (or a lesser player plus a pick)! Taz is our only option, assuming we want to get those bigfish who are looking to move clubs.

If your looking for bulldog players, the only ones you could get are Sam Power (and get Luke?), Brad Murphy, and maybe Birss or Boyd. Unless your after them no trades with the dogs.

Here's a long list that we could target:
However I don't think many prime players will be traded.
Polak - we need a youngish tall defender and if we could get him at a reasonable price he may pay off. But is too much of a risk if we give up too much for him as his career hasn't lived up to expectations.

Schammer - probably won't pass MM's character test and is also probably just a quicker version of Holland who drifts in and out of games too easily.

Bartel/Kelly/Corey - I'm not sure which one of these have recently signed up, I think it was corey, but we'd need to give up a bit for one of these and again none of them are known for pace.

Goddard - perhaps could be used on the wing or as a link player running through the mid, unlikely to though.

Tenace - again unlikely to leave but was a huge Collingwood supporter growing up (his mum had to put away all his Collingwood merchandise).

Kerr - not a huge fan of him and would have to give up a big fish or early picks for him but will probably be on the list

Others include: Salopek, D.White or Thurstans (perhaps turn into CHB? im not sure), and perhaps even one of Giansiracusa, Cooney or Gilbee but these 3 are very unlikely and have probably recently re-signed.

You would be looking at losing your first pick for any of those players.

Maybe Hahn. Giansiracusa is a gun and the Doggies will be keen to hang onto him.

The Doggies don't really need draft picks. They need a key forward (like Chris Tarrant) or a key defender.
