Off the top of my head the A team was made up from Burton, Danger, Dogga, Douggy, Zooma, Goody, Rowdy, Stiff, Knights, D mac, Maric, Macca, Truck, Sellar, Stevens, Thomo, Tippo, Vince, Tex.
Thats 19 players

Was Bock training, or did you just forget him from the list?

No he wasn't. He wasn't out at all. The only players doing restricted work on the track was L Thompson but went back in the rooms after a short stint and VB and Porps who were running all session.

Of the players in teh B squad the only one I find surprising is Reilly. No way Craigy is going to give away which of the new guys will play in round one or even the NAB cup, that's his game.

Davis SLoane and McKernan are all likely to play in the NAB - or maybe not;)

Why do you find it surprising Jars, Reilly has massively under acheived for his whole career, show him he isnt going to be a walk up selection this year and get him to prove he deserves his spot, I mean with out wealth od midfield options now his week in week out position in the side isnt a forgone conculsion anymore.

How did Talia travel? Running pretty well now?

Not too bad. Still finding his feet as he has only been back in full training for a few weeks.

One thing I forgot to mention was in the warm ups in the centre, Sloaney was always at the front of the packs in the running drills :thumbsu:

I happened to drive past training today, just as the group was going through the warm up, so I pulled over for a quick look though I don't really have anything to report.... I only about the last five minutes.

Like this time last year some of the newer players had different guernsey numbers on so it will be interesting to see whether that will be the case on Saturday. A couple I can remember were Talia in 13 and Wright in 18. Obviously though they couldn't wear those on match day.

Oh Moran was out there but Bock, Porplyzia and Symes weren't.

Mark Ricciuto was watching as well :thumbsu:

He needed to get the message well and truely before last year, he puts in sub par midfield performances and he will be back in the SANFL, we have far too many better options right now than an underperforming 7th year player.
His best is bloody good.

He needs to bring his best every week, that is all. If Radar does that, he's 1st choice 22 material every time. If he doesn't... he won't be around for ever.

Re: Radar
His best is bloody good...

True. Watched some 05/06 games in the last few months (:footy: roll on Saturday :footy:) and there were times when Reilly put in what commentators were calling BOG performances.

I noticed that they were outside runs, finding open space, being available, demanding and then good disposal, rather than in and under work. Perhaps we put him under more pressure to win a spot now because D Mac does that better(?). And we have some newer midfielders who can do that outside work but also are strong in close - Vince, Danger and ?

With our new wealth in the forwards, perhaps as they emerged the pressure for pin-point disposal dropped off for a couple of years, but we hear that Craigy has made forward entry a priority this year, which should suit Radar's style.

Inconsistency makes you nothing more than a run of the mill 15 game a season AFL player...................NO THANKS to that, we have plenty of 'stars' to fill that void.

His best under pressure is more often than not poor, bit of a downhill skier at times for mine. I mean look, if he can bring his best disposal to the party when there's heat on and we need some drive against strong opposition then he walks in every time. I used to rate the bloke, but looking back particularly to 2007-08 when the supporter love affair really took hold, he would get up and play his best stuff when we were going along well anyway. Just happily slot in and look a million bucks, not much heat on him. When we're under the pump though that disposal has tended to desert him, he suddenly looks like a slow, flustered decision maker out there. Last year in the first showdown that play in the centre where he changed direction, slipped over and was far too slow to get rid of the ball under pressure, that sort of stuff is not the standard we're looking for from a senior player if we really have aspirations to win the flag.

2010 is huge for Radar.
