Taken from Demonology, thanks guys. :thumbsu:

"I was able to catch about an hour of todays' training session at the Junction Oval.

My brief observations:

-Austin Monamerri (?) looks like a dead set AFL player already. His skills are awesome, particularly his kicking. Absolute delight to watch after years of watching Godders and Bruce attept to kick a footy.

My prediction is that Aussie will be elevated on to the senior list at the very first opportunity, should we be unlucky enough to sustain a longterm injury.

He looks quite muscluar, but with a little less fat than i first thought after seeing a video highlights package of him from last year on the web. The preseason has obviously been good to him. Very pacey as well.

I'm very excited from what i saw today of Aussie.

-Buckley has definately baulked up in the uppper body and is brimming with confidence.

-PJ was moving with grace and skill. He looks set for a big year IMO.

-Jamar's skills were not up to standard and he will stuggle this year with the competition for his position.

-All the hype re Cheyney seems warranted. Looks a real goer. Very pumped.

-Frawley has put on a bit more muscle and was looking very confident out there. Expect a significantly improved year from him.

-Messen will be the next Jimmy Stynes running all day ruckman, but with better skills.

-Carroll looked sharp.

-Holland is a Meccanoman, but will play a part this year.

-The only negative for me and it was a big one is that Newton hadn't put any noticeable size on. He looks exactly the same. IMO for him to improve he needs to put on at least 5 - 10 kgs in muscle. Apart from that his kicking skills and marking looked fantastic today. I expect him to kick b/w 40-45 goals this year."

Not too worried about Newton, his agility is one of his strengths, putting on too much weight quickly might not necessarily help him.

Massive wraps on Aussie. I'd love for him to play a role this year, hopefully easing the pain of us not looking into Alwyn Davey enough. Juice will be just fine.

How many games do you guys expect Petterd to play this year and how is he training ?? He is a real young gun, he'd be in my top 5 of young stars, so just curious to see how he is travelling from that injury he sustained last season..:thumbsu:

I think it's safe to assume he would've played out the rest of the season if he didn't get injured (or whatever it was). Averaged 14 touches and kick 6 goals in 9 games. Looked quite composed with the ball for a first year player.

However, like Bartram, who also would've been a regular if not for injury, they sort of have to start from square one again.

I would expect him to be picked in best 22 each week if fit.
