I hope Ed develops but I wouldn't assume the coaches are stupid for playing him out of position.

At McDonalds, if someone doesn't do a great job on the burger flipping I imagine they're more likely to let them go rather than promote to CEO to find them a role. (Even Naicos started out flipping burgers on the flanks before moving up to CBA.)

At a guess, Ed's scoreboard impact & involvements is near lowest in the team and in the league for midfielders. It's an area where Lipinski, Gus, Ned Long etc contribute more consistently. Inside-mid or bust is not a great proposition.
So you glad the 2 WA Teams are reported be into Allan

The Sydney game
Talk over the weekend in Syd skipworth noted they realise he is an inside midfielder and not a winger
Something the rest of us knew already

I suspect they've always known, but his body hasn't necessarily been up to it yet. Nor has the form necessary.

They've been playing him mid for 3 years at VFL. I don't think it's realising something. More just that they've been hoping he'd click on the wing whilst he's still developing into an AFL standard mid. He's gone up a notch at VFL level this year and might be able to perform to an AFL standard in the midfield.
No I knew that, I watch VFL. Just wanted to know more about the supposed quote from Fraser.

It read what Jen is passing on more as they've given up on him being able to play wing, most mids start playing wing, hf or hb - even the freakishly good kids like Selwood, Ashcroft and Daicos.

Bit of an unfair conclusion for you to land on, all I did was ask because I was curious to know in case there was a clip or interview I had missed. I don't think anyone here said anything negative about what you shared
Not the first time you have questioned my information. I don't make things up. I get told certain stuff, so believe or not. Not my issue.

You didn't say where it came from actually, so all I did was ask in case I had missed something. I've already said that I was simply curious if I had missed an interview of some kind. I will own that I have questioned your information in the past but I'm not sure why you've taken this one personally.

It's the same in the Media

They Probably don't want to be ID'ed

Sorry if you thought I was doubting what you'd said. I just meant that if you said "Billy Frampton is a defender" after his stint as a forward a few years back - you're also saying he's not a forward. I think they'd love him to play mainly wing and gradually build up his midfield time - but for some reason he just gets lost on the wing.

Training - Tuesday May 19

Absent players:

Jamie
Bobby
Reef
Oscar

Rehab:

Perryman
Cochran
(partly) Lippa, Moore, Membrey, Sullivan who all took part in some drills but also was put through their paces at the end of training

Maynard was involved in the rehab group early before heading indoors. Maybe has a niggle early in the week, but well see come Thurs.

Lippa, Moore, Sullivan and Membrey was in most of the session. Membrey did everything. The former two did everything but match sim, instead they were put through some running drills.

First session of the week generally involves honing skils and drills involving how they want to play. In this instant there was drills about moving the ball, a running drlll from the back half by handball.

It appeared that the 2nd ruck was shared between Mcstay/Long, so maybe thats the way we'll go on Saturday.

Allan was strong in the contest especially around getting himself out of tackles with his big frame.

Jordy spent time mid and moved forward, but he looked fine from what I could tell.

Hayes spent some time through the midfield. I do think eventually we'll see him do that. Having some more speed around the ball would be handy, and he does bring a level of energy youth can only provide

West took some nice marks and moved well.

There were a few players in long sleeved jumpers Including Moore, Houston, Hayes.

There was a brief 5 min match sim before they finished off for the morning. Pendles stuck around for the fans and signed and got photos.
I bought myself a t-shirt and got it signed before he left the track.

If it takes him that fuggin long to pick up on the obvious then I really hope he lands the Carlton head coaching gig
cheers GIF

Why is asking a question about it off limits? Especially for those of us not privy to being told these things?
