This is a public training schedule, they have a whole indoor facility that is utilized throughout the week. There's no way you're being serious right?
You’d think our forward connection was perfect and we didn’t need to train Tues Thurs and Sat this week.
Reminds me of Arne Slot getting to Ibiza at any chance he could get

Arne is gone.
What a wonderful start.
Forgot about buying defenders that defend.

We really do under train. No wonder our skills have dropped off
What are all the other clubs training schedules to compare?

All clubs seem to train on the same days depending on which day they're playing.

I have no clue how often they go into the club & do stuff inside as well as any extra stuff away from the club. Do you?

Please do tell us more about how much a team should train to be successful.
Pretty obvious this week should have been Tues Thurs Sat sessions and captains run Sunday
Quite shocked we only did Wed and Sat
Can’t complain about lack of development from the kids when we don’t train

Normally with 7 day turnarounds we have 2 x main sessions and a captains run.

So now we have an opportunity to get some more recovery into our players but instead we should be having 3 x main sessions and a captains run?

Can you link your experience in the area? You sound very definitive

I also think we have too few contact hrs for a professional sport and the fundamentals have slipped this year as a result. Two observations I would make to explain that is that last year we hit the finish line absolutely cooked I think 5 or 6 guys played that PF that would have missed if it were H&A. The feedback post season may well have been that we overtrained.

The second and more obvious answer to the low training week is that the most recent CBA to my knowledge requires players receive a 3 day break in the week of a break of 8 days or longer. Hence the players weren’t allowed at the club to train on Tuesday.

I think it’s a delicate balance between overtraining leading to fatigue and undertraining leading to slipping fundamentals. We can’t seem to find it. It’s worth noting that Geelong don’t seem to have an issue with limited contact hrs…

It’s ok - will probably only be a 45 min sessions as apparently we are focusing on recovery
The number of players this week talking about load reduction and breaks is common. From many clubs. The training on the track is a small component of the workload, it is a full life style for players. The training for players is professionally managed for individuals and the team. Given our physically demanding game plan and our beat up team end of last year the load management is crucial. The club will be striving to go as far as possible this year. Taking breaks is actually a crucial part of successful teams.

I like that you say it’s pretty obvious from your couch. How would you have any idea?
