You don't think there's any legs to it? Smells a lot like Maresca bailed knowing the City job was going to be available, and now he's trying to bring his captain with him
Enzo has been trying renegotiate his contract for the last 3 or 4 months, once that didnt eventuate the Madrid stuff was pushed. Seems his agents have got a bite out of City now who'll match what he wants. He just wants a payrise whether its us or someone else.

I assume anyone signing for City will have a clause in their contract for if City get hit with a big punishment.

I'll hazard a guess we'll sign at least 2 players everyone says "How the hell have Hull got him?"

Calhanoglu I think would be top of Acun's list in terms of a marquee Turkish signing statement of intent.

Bayindir from United sounds like he's leaving on a free, might get looked at I suppose.

Exciting times.

Oh no, don't do that.

I just meant that's who we'll start getting linked to because of the Turkish links, not that he'd be one of the exciting players lol.

Tom Ince and Nampalys Mendy released from Watford.
Patson Daka, Jordan Ayew, and Jamaal Lascelles released from Leicester.
John Fleck released from Chesterfield.

So with Spurs avoiding relegation their first 2 signings could be Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi?
Honestly both could do better than that cesspool. It'd be cool to see Robbo go back to Hull or Celtic, depending what he wants to do ofc.

I think we'd ask the question of Robbo, not sure which he'd fancy though.

I recall both players had a verbal agreement pending Spurs survival.

Coutinho Crypto Fund still paying dividends.

Exciting player (19 years old, 20+ goals and assists, I think I saw he was #1 for dribbles in Europe this year?) but phwoar that is a big fee for someone with really just the 1 season at the top level.

I wish these crazy transfer fees over the last 10 years started much earlier than that in 2009 when Cristian Ronaldo was sold for the super low fee of £80 million. The club might have been able to pay off their debt. :p

Why would a player who committed to a 8 and a half year deal expect to renegotiate it after 4 years? It's not like he has set the world on fire or anything.

Who from West Ham is worth a punt on? I'd like Chelsea to get Bowen since we're desperate for veteran experience.

Bowen will surely stay in the PL.

We might consider him as a short term Salah replacement if a deal can be done at a reasonable price.

I just don't see what Spurs can offer Robbo. I would expect he is looking for something different at this stage of his career. Whether that's having a crack in Serie A / Bundesliga or heading back to Celtic.

The only appealing thing Spuds have going for them is De Zerbi. Other than that they have flap all going for them lol!
Robbo and Bowen back to Hull? Though I wouldn't be surprised if Liverpool recruit Bowen as Salah's replacement.
Bowen, as he can play upfront as well, and Diomande would be an excellent window in terms of attackers for us imo. Bowen's wages are allegedly 150k a week so whether we pay 30 or 40m plus the wages for a 29 year old rotation player with not much resale value I'm not sure. But I would in this case.

There's also the question, can West Ham afford big wages with the relegation and 100m loss before the money they lose from relegation I'm not sure about either. Even if they sell Summerville, Fernandes and 1 or 2 others does that stabilise their financial situation?

The leftover Hazard money explains Chelsea spending so much on 2 wingers and a midfielder every window when they already have plenty lol!

His dribbling stats are up near Yamal and Olise.
The market is bonkers these days, 100m now is the 50m of five years ago so if we can afford him and still buy 3 or 4 others, not all of whom will cost that much that we need I'd do it.
