Travis Cloke driving whilst disqualified

Already read it mate... sounds like they are just trying to cover up for him.

If I was Geoff Walsh and I was trying to cover for Cloke the below quote is the last thing I'd be saying.

I doubt very much that anyone in his position would be running the gauntlet of knowingly driving while disqualified, its too risky.

IMO this is up there with Blair's shocker signal as one of the biggest non-issues the club's had to deal with in recent memory.

True but who would have thought Heath Shaw could be so dumb with the finals just around the corner..

Each year every AFL player is forced to attend anti gambling lectures from the likes of David Schwarz in which not betting on anything to do with the AFL is absolutely hammered into them. So Shaw had no other recourse than to admit that he's a complete and utter fool.

For all we know though Cloke's was due to an innocent mistake and IMO he deserves our support until such time that its proven otherwise.

Also to take Vicroad's word as gospel is a brave move, because they are the Port Adelaide of government corporation's

Thats what i was going to ask! Isn't 12 points enough? Our leadership group has two morons in it now. Cloke and Shaw.:thumbsu:

Seriously THATSGOLD, it's a pretty good basic premise to get the full story before you label someone a moron.

If he knew he was disqualiified and he drove, then yes, it was very, very silly.

Hopefully, there's some mistake somewhere, I doubt Trav would be that silly.

He even tweeted that he was getting his car back the other day ( after the hail storm damage) so I'd be amazed if he was being so public talking about his car and then driving it, public figure he is, whilst knowingly being disqualified.

It's possible he wasn't driving at all...automatic cameras snapped his number plate but it could have been someone else driving his car. Just speculating

Confirmed by Eddie this morning that it was a mistake on VicRoads end.

Travis' licence isn't suspended and he's free to drive.

Oh well, one less news story for the Herald Sun to milk.

^ I wonder if this will be printed in the papers as a kind of retraction? I somehow doubt it.
