You know what I find hilarious. Out of all the people who have claimed all this inside goss over the years on the board because of their "sources," I for the life of me cannot remember any that have actually been true? Am I wrong?

A bloke *did* have inside info before the 2005 draft, IIRC.

And there has been plenty of accurate info posted before it became public on FMW.

Fair enough, but at least with Ablett, we assume there was some truth to it as ALL the talk was about one team.

The fact that a new team crops up every week, and no journo wants to actually back their story properly shows this is all bullshit which is why it's frustrating.

Eddie has Scully called 6 months before anyone else. He KNEW Scully was gone and you could tell he knew. Why? Because Eddie wasn't a journo who used to try the 'fishing' approach to journalism. Throw out as many lines as possible and see what bites.

Robbo has proven time and time again that that's all he does, and his 'speculative' talk supports this. He couldn't even name TEAMS let alone sources.

But Ed didn't name his source did he? Many people still didn't believe Ed at the time and at the end of the day Ed could have been proven wrong while still being completely right at the time. Ed had and agenda when he came out with the Scully story and he used what he knew to expose GWS.

I tend to do my best to use logic, so the fact that Wellingham is close to a deal suggests the club is VERY confident in keeping Cloke.

Why?

Because Wellginham to me, seems like the perfect sacrifice to help keep Cloke. So if they're getting a deal done with Wellingham while trying to do one with Cloke, then they're obviously confident they can keep them all.

First of all what the hell is a troll? Second it's not negative it's what we where told by a very close source to the Cloke family. Is it going to happen did I say it will happen no I didn't. This is what we where told on Monday in our place of work by David Clokes close personal friend. Other than giving you the gentlemans name and number I can't see what else I can do. David himself has been in many times with him in fact he signed as a witnees when Cloke joined Collingwood thats how far he goes back. I fail to see how that's negative.

As for the Carey stuff if you think that a person like Wayne Carey isn't privvy with information about all clubs your living in the cloud's.

I might be mistaken but wasn't this thread about Cloke potentially re-signing with the Pies and the bullshit rumour I heard on SEN? Turns out my great hopes were proven incorrect and now Scodog desires a time machine.

When did it derail into a different direction about Cloke potentially leaving or fielding offers from numerous clubs?

I simply cannot wait until the day Cloke is announced as re-signing with the Pies so we can put this bullshit behind us. Then, move our focus onto Ben Reid and all te speculation about him leaving and being chased by seven clubs for 2.5million a year over 8 year deal

I used to work for ESP, be interested to know what she does there and who she is. I doubt she hears much, because when I was there we had pretty strong protocols surrounding this sort of stuff.

Then again, ESP is the same organisation that didn't know their client had signed a multi year, multi million dollar deal with Fremantle.

Given Cloke has no affilation with ESP, and the nature of the competitive sports management business (particularly at the moment, with legal cases everywhere) there is no way anyone at ESP would have a clue what is going on with him.
