No i think SOME afl players are starting tonuse it as an excuse

I'm starting to think that also. But as Robbo found out you can't question it even if you suspect something is up.

The thing we don't know with the person is has the depression come from playing poor footy or was the depression there before which causes the bad footy?

The level of depression is another thing, it's not really well understood illness by society. Claiming depression then going to training the next day does make you think it's just an excuse but you don't really know what the player is going through.

I don't think Trav has been right since 2012 when his dad put him through hell to get a bit of extra cash. His goal kicking just kept getting worse by the year which was all in his head. He struggled to handle the pressure of a shot from 20m out in front, probably due to the big contract while under delivering.

How does someone toughen up whilst suffering mental health?....if you had to work whilst suffering depression, then ur employer is a knob. Some people cannot work again or do the job they had previously due to their condition and medication they are on. So to say players or anyone uses mental health as a excuse is the dumbest thing l have read on here.
Ok

Thankyou...

So let me get this straight, he's still training right? So he's still going to work. Don't know what the heck Pablo is complaining about.

By FAR the single most important factor in depression is 'support group' - you can have all the chemical changing meds and clever psychiatric sessions in the world but if the person doesn't have positive and supportive influences in their life it's very, very likely a downhill track.
Going to training - if up to it - would be seen by his medical and psychiatric teams as a HUGE factor in sustaining or even accelerating his recovery.
