Just letting all of you Bulldogs fan know that the captain of your VFL affiliate and also my employer Werribee, Travis Robertson has been awarded with the honour of skipper for the VFL v SANFL state match at Port Melbourne this saturday.

He recently played his 100th game against Box Hill and being made state captain is a testament to one of the hardest workers at the club.

Oh yay, well done robbo, hes a great leader. Spewin i missed his 100th, did they have a banner for him? We usually do the banners but ive missed a few so not sure if we did it or not. Congrats again robbo, i wont be there to see it good luck anyway. Oh and good luck to the rest of the werribee boys who made it.

Yeah, they did have a banner and a video tribute which was shown during the president's lunch.

A true champion is Travis Robertson.

The other Werribee players named in the state side are:
Salim Hassan
James Podsiadly
Chad O'Sullivan

Also, Werribee have four guys in the North side to take on the South in the under22 martch being played before the main game.

Ed Darcy
Jake Furfaro
Wayde Twomey
Ryan Closter

Then don't read the thread.
Care factor for your response also 0%.

there are many people who are interested in this, and many of Ben's other insightful comments regarding Bulldogs playing for Werribee and the rampaging Bee's in general.

I don't mind reading about Bulldogs playing for Werribee but this bloke has never had any connection with the club.

Again, why pass such a non-comment? Others here as you can see from the responses are interested.
Fair enough you don't care, don't read it, and don't post rubbish.
Ben generously takes the time to provide very good comments on emerging Doggies playing, and is obviously proud of his team's players.
I think the least we can do is respond accordingly. Or not respond if you've nothing to say.

Keep up the comments Ben, be they Werribee players or Bulldog players.
From the responses here you can be assured you do have an interested audience.

Keep in mind Mitcha that those Doggies who play for Werribee would also gain inspiration from the performances of Werribee players such as Travis Robertson, Ed Darcy, Podsaidly, Salim Hassan et al.
Let's also not forget that until this year one Dale Morris was running around with Werribee exclusively and now is an integral part of the Bulldogs.

last year there was this gu he was running arond for werribee but wasnt on the bulldog list im sure you didnt car about him but our club did and he is now wearing no 38 and is our best tagger/stopper
Ben Hudsons in the ruck for the Crows tonight another werribee player we could have picked up

By the way Mitcha if this little Aborgnial star caled Ed Dracy gets drfted to the dogs next yeah you would care that he nhas played under players like Robbo and Pods

what you dont get is that pods who is 27 years old was in the AFL system and can teach our young kids like Walsh and Wells on how to play up forward

I may not aways agree with what Ben says but seeing as i am not always able to go and see werribee it is good to get his reports not just about bulldog players but also about Werribee players

people like ben and other who do the reports are good for us because they give us insight in to some player who missed out on the draft and could be picked up

remember with OUT WERRIBEE we would not have our young kids playing in a winning side that has a winning cultre
cheer bogan

Thanks for backing me up Bogan, as most people's do care about how your VFL affiliate is going.

And also, Werribee are not the 'twos'. They are the Werribee Tifreds Football Club and Bulldogs players play in the senior side as well as the reserve side.

sorry a bit peed off

We are in a multi millon dollar industry and the fact that our players have not been able to play football for two games (Bye and VFL Vs SANFL)is in my opnion not proffessional.

Somehow that has to change.

No ben but i just think it is un called for our playes not to be able to play two games out of 9 .

Example this week Jade,Shane,Peter, and Ray havent got the chance to show if they can make it to the seniors and at such a crucial time in our season this is wrong

Maybe the state game just needs to be scheduled differently also.

But the VFL and AFL fixtures don't run to the same timeline.

A bit hard to organise.
how is it hard to organise a game 4 weeks later personally i upport werribee and the dogs and the state game didnt intrest me unless a werribee player had the ball
i mean it nothing like a real state game

Surely the care factor is O of what round it is played on

People do care about the state game, therewas a scout from virtually every AFL club there.

Several guys who played in this game are now on AFL lists for your information.

These are Ben Schwarze (Kangaroos), Nick Stone (St Kilda), Andrew Lovett (Essendon) and Shannon Byrnes (Geelong).

they where all on rookie list when they played for the state bad example ben

abetter example would have been Ben Hudson or Josh mahony and not the ones that SEN stated during the week

Ben Schwarze wasn't on a Rookie list, he was one of the three players from Springy to cross to the Borough that year.
