This guy is a complete tool. The following are his comments in todays Advertiser regarding whether there are any drug issues at ALberton. Obviously this guy has absolutely no contact with the playing group what so ever (which is not surprising considering they all hate him). We all know who the three players are who tested positive for cocaine 3 times last year. It seems that Tredders is either oblivous to this or is in complete denial. Based on the footy club he comes from I would say the latter.

Once again this guy opens his mouth and sprouts off utter rubbish. No wonder he is a poor leader!!

"I know for a fact the guys at our group are ones that choose not to go down that (drugs) road.

"You can never actually be 100 per cent sure. But from what I hear and what I'm seeing, (drugs) is definitely not the case down here at Alberton."

I think you missed this bit of his quote:
[Q]
Captain Warren Tredrea was more assertive saying: "I know for a fact the guys at our group are ones that choose not to go down that (drugs) road.

"You can never actually be 100 per cent sure. But from what I hear and what I'm seeing, (drugs) is definitely not the case down here at Alberton."

Tredrea adds the AFL testing program is detailed enough.

"I know they are always knocking on my door and testing me," Tredrea said. "(Perhaps) the people are just lucky they are not getting caught, if there is a problem. For me, drugs are something you don't deal with in sport."
[/Q]

And where did the 3 times & cocain come from.....

If you want to go fishing for a bite dont forget to bring your tackle box....

Ps do you think Roo would say the same ... "You can never actually be 100 per cent sure. But from what I hear and what I'm seeing

Obviously has hearing problems!!!

What amazes me is that certain obviously dim-wited individuals who have no contact with the club at all think they know more about that certain club that its' captain. Stop trying to pass the focus from your own club.

Threads like this are absolutely ridiculous. You may not like the guy, but don't attack everything he says. You would want your captain doing the exact same thing.

It's time for some people to grow up.

I'd imagine in most clubs it (drugs) gets talked about quite freely. They'd all know there's team mates who don't do it or don't agree but respect that whilst the non doers don't have a problem with the others.

At Port I reckon when Tredders enters the room they all change the subject.

And what would make you think that? Because there was some story made up about Tredrea being disliked?

Pathetic, honestly.

These two comments are contradictory.

The difference being with West Coast they talk about it while they cut up lines and roll joints....

3:1 and lost another recently by 2 points. Plus with their list its likely they will add to that number too, they even be able to go back to back

But you said it suggesting we've never done it. This thread has nothing to do with premierships, so stick to the topic.

So you're saying all teams should take up drugtaking? Or that if you win premierships the drugtaking is irrelevant? Or what, exactly?

I am saying despite the issues WC have off the field, they are good enough to keep it together on the field.

I ask you this question, if Port won last years premiership, would you be that cut that they take drugs in their spare time?

Yes. Most definately. Who cares what their performance was like, drugs should not be tolerated.

Are you capable of having a proper discussion? If his on-field performance can't be attacked, something else is mentioned. It's really pathetic.

Well the thread wasnt about how Rutten towels up Tredrea every time so I kept on topic and talked about his off field demeanour.

And finally its not only Crows supporters who slam Warren, he dosnt win too many popularity consests amongst other supporters either.

So you wouldnt include the premiership in your clubs history?

Include? Of course, but I would be extremely dissapointed if they were into that. And if you are suggesting that players from the PAFC engaged in drug taking during 2004, i suggest you get proof of keep your mouth shut.

AFL is not a popularity contest. He is a great footballer, and has lead the team to a premiership. That's a good thing in my books.
