Because Treloar is a poor finisher. His value to us is definitely from the middle.
Sidebottom and WHE are the two I'd like to see forward.

If a few more idiotic decisions on Friday night had been good ones, we would have won. Aish should help with that.Aish showed last year he can Kick a Goal or 2 as well
Seeing Sidebottom forward gets me excited. He should be used one out in the goal square like Richmond do with Dustin Martin.
I love Sidey but he just aint a one on one marking player in a goal square. IMO there's just no way you can compare Dusty and Sidey in that regard.
Wasn't intending to compare the two.... I just back Sidebottom in a 1 on 1 contest.... he is a smart player.I love Sidey but he just aint a one on one marking player in a goal square. IMO there's just no way you can compare Dusty and Sidey in that regard.
It's a pretty ****ing important part of his game that we shouldn't throw down the drain.Ive seen him kick 3 goals in two games for gws when stationed as a forward. He is a brilliant one out player and although i agree he is predominately a midfielder, he will find the ball and be dangerous anywhere on the field.
For those who say he is a run and carry player, that is only part of his game, he is excellent in close and great at finding space. Finding space is what forwards need to do. If he was just an 80 metre running player, hed be a wingman not an onballer.
How about we bring either Dunn or Keefe in as defenders and send Reid forward? Robbing Peter to pay Paul, I know, but maybe Paul is poorer?

I don't think that works. Losing Reid's intercept marking would really hurt the team, he's also the best option to stop Riewoldt
Treloar resting forward is fine just not playing whole games down there. When De Goey comes back he should have a bit more time up forward. How is playing him forward for 10-15 minutes a game throwing away that part of his game?
Still going?Close thread
Doubt he'll play on Riewoldt. Shade more likely. Or Goldsack even.

Yet he was used as a lock down defender on Cloke and was bottom 5 for possies vs dogs which is low for him. Howe is currently filling Reids role of intercept and rebound defender.
Reid can go fwd especially if Dunn comes in to play on Reiwoldt who is a shorter KPF.
Reid dominated Reiwoldt in the JLT. We need him to do it again.
