Yep, Cotchin set to debut this week...only a (very strong) rumour at this stage, however I have now heard it from a source of my own who is a mate of a current player, and now another source on another forum from a poster who is always right with these things...

I thought Cotch was another week away but am looking forward to seeing him in the Yellow & Black at the G this week!!! Injury aside, I doubt he'll ever return to Coburg from what I've seen so far...

Should he play, good luck Cotch!!!

Go Tiges!!!

Don't think he showed enough last week.

He definitely showed he had 'it', but needs time to get his match fitness up to play a full game, get more of the pill and use it a little bit better...he tried a few times to 'thread the needle' with precision passes that didn't quite come off...not sure if he was just a little bit 'off', or that playing with adults is just that little bit tougher...either way, he needs some time.

Not against this decision, let him have a taste against the best team out there then give him more time on the ground against the lowly Dons in a big game atmosphere. Is VERY clever round goals so should be a fair swap with Edwards.

Would be an even better swap for hyde. Leave Edwards alone

Did not show enough please you must be kidding. He was tagged and still got 20postions. Got more of the ball i would say 20pos is a good effort for the young man. He also used it when he had it so not sure what you were watching.

have to agree with u true tiger, he played a great game i thought...
used the ball very well

he will probably be one of those players that plays better with better players around him too. this is great news if true as we are all itching to see him in action.

Spot on DT.
He will definately play better with better players around him because they will move to better positions for him to deliver.
I don't think he will have any trouble with the speed of the game and he will have the freedom in the ones of not being tagged, at least for his first few games.

I would prefer if he played another week or two in the 2's. He has only just resumed after injury and can't be AFL matchfit yet.

Once he starts playing everyone will be comparing him to Palmer, Rioli etc and if he performs badly it could put a heap of pressure on the kid. What's the rush? Give him another week or two at Coburg...

Doubt he'll play this week. Seems as though hes still only playing 60-70% of the game at Coburg.

Based on the weekends game, Polak, Bowden, Polo, Pettifer and even Tivendale should get a game before him. Being more expierenced it helps then too against a good team like Geelong.

Depending on how we do this weekend, maybe the Cotch can debut against the Dons

agree, isn't knocking the door down so to speak, and who does he come in for anyway? Tiva has been the clear best at Coburg last month and must be close to recall (that's if TW still has him in radar ) I understand youth policy and all by prefering to play Cotchin or even JON ahead of Tiiva but Wallace has said that it's all about having your best side in each week.

We don't have a bad record for debutants against the Dons recently.........I reckon sheeds still has nightmares when he here's the name Marco Polo.

Cotch will run around on the biggest stage this weekend but it will only be for the Buggers again......

He is getting very close and i am looking forward to the return of Cogs and the debut of Cotchin in the Dreamtime game where, i am calling it early but a 10 goal win against the Dons in front of 80,000......

Welcome to the big time son! :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

If he has as much talent as everyone says, then playing in the lower leagues will be of no benefit to him. Get him into the ones asap.

Will probably be the most anticipated debut at Tigerland since Deledio, so coming in against Geelong is in some ways a lower pressure entry. If he debuts against Essendon, the ferals are all going to expect him to be BOG and will be disappointed if he isn't.

We'll be lucky to get 50,000 against the bummers. They've already conceded the season. The tank has begun.

WTF are you on about? What injuries? He's recovered well you fool.

Yes, but he could get others.
Just be happy I'm not calling him a useless **** - I want to see him play and I hope he does well.

Daniel Wells board >>>>>>>>>>

He could get others?? So the other 640 players in the AFL are immune to getting injuries? You're not making sense. Thanks for the good wishes though. :thumbsu:
