Well done on a great career Trevor, however, it was well and truly past you. Should have happened a couple of years ago when he became a bit stale.
 
Good to see the end of the foulmouthed drunk.
 
No doubt there'll be a few w***ers who'll be happy to kick a man whilst he's down.

But I for one am sad to see him go. Quite enjoyed Trevs jokes, and there's no doubt he had a pretty tough gig as the token funny man of the show.

Hardly kicking him while he's down, personally it wont bother me because I stopped watching that sorry excuse for television a while ago.

Having said that, he wasn't funny.

Yeah about 10 years ago. I felt sorry for Lyon and JB always having to pretend to find his jokes funny. You could tell they felt uncomfortable half the time.

Billy could be funny. Or he could crash and burn. Either way it would be worth a go. Hopefully they have him and Shane together, they would feed off each other well.
 
I have to agree that Trev's time was definitely up. Ch 9 will probably go with B Brownless now which i think would be unwise. The man's comedy routine and interview style revolves around 'having a few frofees'. Helliar would be better.

My fav Trevor Marmalade moment was just after the Matthew Knights/Tony Liberatore incident, where Knights copped a fair whack to the head from Libba behind play. Trev quipped 'He's a great player Liberatore, really gets the blood pumping'.

Just get rid of the show, it's outlived it's productive life.

They really are up against it if they think having Bill Brownless on more is going to help. He had his 15 minutes where he was entertaining but it's just the same crap over and over again, just like what happened with Doug Hawkins.
 
I didnt mind Trevor, but I think his role on the show was overated. He could have stayed on but I doubt he would have accepted a lesser role..anyway, good luck to him in the future.

Agreed. I think it's time they drew a curtain around and shot the lot of them. Surely with some thought they can come up with a football show that is more than just a clown circus.

I haven't watched it for so long. It would rate as one of my most hated programmes. After the Game is so much better. Less abrasive and abusive and the comedians are actually funny.

I think it is time for Strawny to take a break though. Great concept and it worked for a while, but it seems a bit tired and forced now.
 
All things considered, he had a pretty good run on the show.

With his departure, I wouldn't be surprised if they got rid of the bar and his role. He really only does a bit of a spiel at the start and then throws in a few comments throughout the show. Someone else could do Footy Legends and any other competition they have. I guess the real purpose of the bar was to display alcohol advertising.
 
Stuff the "bar" off - it lost any potency when it became overloaded with the Jim beam sponsorship IMO. You could barely see trevor behind all that advertising crap that they had on it!
