Because White's getting picked on his all round abilities, not just his batting abilities

All he's shown so far is an ability to slog when the going's good for Australia and struggles in the other situations, and well the less said about his bowling the better

As others have noted White should only be in the team to bat until he improves his bowling to a staisfactory level.

Hogg's out of form at the moment i will admit that, but i will back him to out bowl White in the long run, why? because Hogg's actually proved himself at international level, for an extended period. This is unlike White who struggles to contain batsmen at domestic level, let alone International level.

Check some facts as well, White's wickets this summer (bar one) has come as cheap ones when the opposition has been on their last legs. White got gifted some cheap wickets to boost what is otherwise a very ordinary bowling record.

After today you will probably get your wish, Hogg was given kid gloves treatment for his first couple of matches but his form hasn't improved so the criticism will come.

However again he is still Australia's best spin option (which says something about the state of Aus cricket's spinning options at the moment) and even out of form is still head and shoulders above the rest of the field.

Playing 5 quicks isn't the answer either because with Symmonds/Clarke out there is no good part time option in the side (yes im aware White is there). That's also not taking into consideration what effect 5 quicks has on a sides over rate.

Like it or not, Hogg is the best option for Aus at the moment as far as spin goes. When Symmonds/Clarke come back that will change, but at the moment we have to make do with what we got.

White at 23 is better then someone who didn't used to bowl that often at 23, what exactly does this prove again? White's more advanced then Hogg at 23 yes, but if you think that means he's up to international level at the moment, boy are you greatly mistaken.

Hogg improved his bowling by playing at Domestic level, not playing one day cricket for Aus, something White should also be doing
