Here's another one, not to be looked up either (that spoils the fun).

Shute Banerjee and Chandu Sarwate performed what unique achievement in the entire history of first-class cricket?

1969/70 and the Kiwis won it, but no idea of the sponsor, probably a cigarette company. Rothmans?
Sorry, missed this.

Season is correct.

It was an insurance company.

This happens to be one I actually know off the cuff. Its the biggest 10th wicket partnership, can't remember the exact number but it's somewhere around 240 i think.

Actually it's not.

The highest 10th wicket partnership was 307 by Kippax and Hooker.

The track you are on is definitely heading in the right direction though. :)

Came in at 10 & 11, both hit 100s?
Against some county team, I think.

well don't I just look like a dill? I always thought they had the record.
Definitely something to do with tail end batting though

Yep.

The only time ever in first-class cricket that both number 10 and 11 have scored 100s in the same innings.

Amazingly though, they didn't go near the record 10th wicket partnership (249 as opposed to 307).

How devastating would it be to let the opposition get 420 from 9/113!?!

How good is CricketArchive?
It's an amazing resource.

I can't imagine the amount of work that has gone into it.

Several Australian Test Cricketers made debuts during World Series Cricket. Several played tests after the end of WSC when the Australian team was back at full strength (Border, Hogg, etc).

Howeve, two players made their test debuts during the WSC time, but never played test cricket after the end of WSC - but they did play ODIs after the end of WSC. Who were they?

Hope you don't mind if I ask a question.

After the SCG became the premier cricket ground in Sydney, which future test player scored the first century at the ground?*

*Was not a first class match

I just looked this one up. Would never have got it. You'd probably have to have been around at the time to know the company.
I was. :)

I think they sponsored the comp for the first two seasons.

Vehicle and General Insurance. I think it was actually called the V & G Cup.

I presume this happened an extremely long time ago. Perhaps the 1870s or 1880s?
