Steve Johnson was literally buggered!
So much so, he only had one chance at convincing Scott prior to them making the tough call and he used ice packs in order to keep the swelling down...it worked and the rest is history but was a massive risk on his part and quite a good acting performance by Stevie J

Lol yeah where Jonno said he was icing his knee right up to the point where Scott came to his hotel room the night before & when Scott knocked on the door he threw the ice pack into the corner of the room & Scotty said he was jumping around the room like he was a little kid....

I think we will have to wait a year longer - dont they have to sign mandatory 2 year contracts?

I hope it was all a big scheme from the Cats & they have installed a self destructing LARS in to Tenzel so it keeps popping & Carton delist him due to injurys after 2 seasons so we can pick him up, reconstruct them & have the Tenzel & Denzel show!!

If they are interstate recruits - we sign them to 3 years IIRC.

A number of other clubs do the same.

Yeah fair enough, what I meant was that I think the AFL stipulates they must be signed to a minimum 2 year contract regardless.
3 years for intestate players is a good policy though - gives them time to settle in.

Just a shame its Tenzel you signed....

Seriously, should the father/son rule be expanded to include brothers? A 'family' rule instead? I know the downside would be the first club to draft a particular brother has dibs on all subsequent brothers (so we'd never have a Selwood) but still.

Yeah, but as soon Tenzel became a Blue he's no good anymore. In three years time when we take him back he'll be better.

Serious question since you Cat boys/girls would have paid much more attention than I. Do the bros play much differently?

As far as I can tell...they are both boys that you sort of struggle to define as a pure forward or mid, as they float somewhere in between but kick plenty of goals running forward.

Debatable now, the youngest is a highly desirable player and may end up being the best; he may have been B&F this year for WCE, and they had a good year. Joel is obviously superb, but let's see.

Not sure about miles ahead, but he certainly has more strings to his bow. Very happy with the AFL Selwood we have.

i see the other selwood brothers as good, solid players. joel is something else entirely. granted, i dont watch every game the others play.

joel gunned it from day one. his highlights from his fourth game were shown to the players to set an example. harley was stunned by him from the first decision making drill they did. the other brothers are good players, joel will retire a champion.

I'm not disputing that Joel is something special, not only in terms of his football ability but leadership too.
However, I wouldn't undersell Scott who is as effective tagger as is going around and on the occasions he's been let loose has ripped it up. Wouldn't at all mind him in the hoops. Agree with your description as far as Adam is concerned.
