I don't like it because it makes me air sick.......if I never got air sick, I would not mind it

Coming back from Brisbane on the weekend, as we were descending, the first shake I got a bit scared, cos I hadn't felt one like that before. Did it a few more times, but wasn't worried.
My main hate with flying is my ears blocking up all the time. Shits me so badly, can take hours for them to unblock sometimes.

Was flying between Fiji and hawaii at 2 in the morning it got pretty bad. I kept thinking about LOST:eek:

Flying in a Hercules (C-130) from England to Zaragoza, Spain. Coming in to Land at Zaragoza, it was Trampoline stuff. I loved it, but some of the people with me were losing their lunches in a big way.

Hanoi to Saigon in Vietnam. Honestly felt like we were in freefall for about 5 full seconds (which when you count it out is ages lol)...
Probably the pilots fault tho as we were flying vietnam airlines haha...

Was flying Singapore - Frankfurt when I was about 8 years old with my father. I can still remember it, I was in tears

I fly on average every fortnight and I love turbunlance. Makes what would normally be a dull flight interesting. Was speaking with a flight attendant yesterday and she said the same. She mentioned it gives them all a laugh when people look to them for reassurance.

yeah had my first experience of it on a flight from adelaide to melbourne a few years back, i wouldn't call it fun but it got a laugh out of me when my mate vomitted on himself :D

flying over to melbourne again tomorrow night with the same mate and hoping for turbulance :D

Would be funny if he spewed on you :D

I get pretty freaked out by sudden drops. I just don't like the feeling of having my stomach touch the back of my throat.

My wife hates turbulence, so much so that she works herself up so much before even getting on the plane. The only way I can calm her down is to tell her to watch the cabin staff, and when THEY start panicking about the turbulence, then I will too.

Had a bad flight from LA once. Was at the back of the plane which is the worst place to be. It went for about 2 hours, at one stage a flight attendent went flying. For the rest of it, they even belted up. I usually look at them for re-assurance when it gets bad, but on this occasion they were shitting themselves. There were even a few screams here and there.

Flying into Launceston a couple of years back, and we were landing in a pretty heavy storm. The plane was all over the place, and the worst thing was me trying not to spill my coffee (yes, coffee) on my bosses lap who was sitting next to me.

2nd best was coming into Melbourne into a stiff northerly on a 40deg+ day. Bouncing around over the bay and then we hit a massive downdraft and pointed down about 45 degrees. Should've heard the engines howl as the pilots pulled us out of the dive.

Best was going into Wellington on a Bae146 full of Japanese tourists. One started squeaking every time there was a little bump. Bump, squeak, titter titter from the Kiwis. The bumps got bigger and the squeaks turned into little squeals from half a dozen of them. Then the whole group started half-gasp half-screams. This was just normal plane movement, nothing at all. Some regulars (like me) were openly laughing at them. Even the flight attendants were smiling.

Then we just kind of stopped in midair and the plane visibly twisted lengthwise. We were all thrown upward against our seatbelts, most of the overhead lockers popped open and started raining bags and shit, there was a huge bang and an internal wall panel dislodged next to my seat and started flapping around.

Everyone screamed for that one.

When we came out into clear air the hostesses came through and repacked the lockers. The Japanese behind me were absolutely freaking about the wall panel falling off, as you could see all the wiring and stuff behind it. I stood up, leaned against it and gave it an almighty shove and it snapped back into place, all cool and nonchalant like I did it every day. Tourists broke into polite applause (as indeed they should have).
