Paying tribute to Crazy Gazey here, maybe we could get our own little 'Turn it up' brisbane lions style happening?...... but there is a bit of a feeling that big Roger might derserve just a little mention for his stopping the game and getting the Buggy out the other night againts the Pies.

I mean .. blokes are trying to walk off after compound fractures these days, and our big fella goes waving for the Jeep with nothing more than a twinge in goal Square.

"Getting the Jeep out in the middle of the G on saturday night, stopping play for 10 minutes, getting the standing O as you are carted off down the race... only to be availaible for selection the next week big ROGER.....TURN IT UP!"

Ahh I getcha, I suppose I stupidly assume everyone has Foxtel these days, it on the bounce and its andrew Gazes section (link below), and I personally get great amounts of laughter from it.. and ROGERS efforts on Saturday very much deserves a 'turn it up'

I agree with you about The Bounce. And Lindsay Gaze's "turn it up segment".

An hour of fun in a wasteland of politics and gloom. Get a real kick out of it.

I have to say that when Dunstall left Mayne to go to the Hawks I honestly didn't think he'd make the grade. I was very, very wrong.

Just as he is surprisingly good as a footy commentator. Excellent in fact.

I'm pretty sure there is still a photo of him in the cafeteria on the wall at Coorparoo, biggest name to ever come out of the Club.

7, I think. Pretty sure that game was televised - the local grand final often was. I wonder if there is footage still around?

I was too young to know whether he was going to make it as a footballer when he left for Hawthorn but I was the right age to be inspired by a bloke from Qld dominating the VFL.

I was pretty certain Dunstall kicked a double figure bag in that GF but it's entirely possible (if not probable) that I'm thinking of another game.

A mate played against him during the season and reckons in the 1st game he was goalless. When they played him again he hit double figures. Great time to watch local footy back then.
