If I was playing with Bell Park I would be happy. Using my experience as a turtle I would say that he was one of the worst to go away with. Didn't give a f**k about the team, just turned up when it suited him, and never hung around or drank with us for the week. So this episode doesn't surprise me at all. Poor luck the Bell Park lads got sucked in.

Trav Ruyg is with Old Xav's in downtown and not sure how he is goin, played a practice match with Donald earlier in they year. Played on a back flank and was awesome for a 2 quarters with a huge hang over.
George (Trent Griffiths) is up in Qld, not sure if he is playing footy i know that he is gettin married soon though.

I have a mate who says he played for the turtles his name was Leon Mortimer, was he a gun player does anyone remember him.

Yeah I know him as well as anyone. Lived with him for 3 years while he was at ballarat uni, and also played turtles with him for two of those years. He wasn't what you'd call a gun, but in Perth he kicked a bag of goals from a pocket and kept taking one handers. Great value as a mascot and peer pressurist

One other bloke i knew of is Ryan "foxy" Emmett was he any good at the uni games.

as for the others, gouin and byars are still playing, george is a mining engineer in north qld about to be wed in november, fritta and beards played while i was there but i dont know what theyre upto, but as i said i wasnt aware fritta was briefly at bell park

no i'm not foxy but i do play in the same side as him at ky. was just trying to find out about mort and foxy and how they went at the uni games last year. i haven't caught up with mort in nathalia for a while so thought i'd ask about both while i was on here.

He's played well this year good little goal sneak. played full forward last week was the smallest bloke out there almost. has missed a couple of weeks with his knee just a twinge nothing major just played it safe rather than risk another reco and had trouble with his ribs at one stage. hasn't been to many fights this year unfortunatly.

Yeah he is not bad little Foxy, kicked a few bags at Boort when he had a stint with them a few years back.... Was a little inconsistent that year however. Mort was absolutely sensational in Perth on and off the field. A true Turtles Hall of Famer!!!!
