Oh my god, that was such a good game. Instant classic.

Well all the games at the World Cup this year were just like that one.

Alrighty, been doing a little more work on the Fox scorebug since I got back to Australia. Pretty much replicated an extended score w/goalkickers and a final score screen as well.

Once thing I noticed with the scorebug during the matches is that the team name coloured square is actually changing constantly throughout the game. It has a very slightly lighter colour that it blends to, but wobbles up and down almost as if it's floating in the ocean.

Nah mate, I'll probably only make them available once I'm not using them anymore. They took a fair bit of work to get them to where they are now so I don't really want every man and his dog using them, whilst I am (especially other clubs).

Yep, all in InDesign. Originally did them in Photoshop which was easy to make all the boxes, gradients etc. But inputting text or changing graphics was tricky so moved to InDesign. It's much easier to type scores and because images are bound to pre determined boxes, it's very easy to just 'replace' flags with next weeks teams without having to drag it into the correct location.

Also having all the team colours stores as swatches makes changing the information each week much easier.

Over the past few weeks I have been working on a graphics design package for cricket in Photoshop. As you can probably see, it is loosely based on both previous Fox Sports designs, and I have decided to share the package with you.

So here it is:

Spoiler: Scoreboard Overlay

Spoiler: How a player went out, to be used beside a player who is walking off.

Spoiler: A few stats you could use for both batting and bowling

Spoiler: Same as above except with an information box instead of statistics

Don't mind this, but i think it looks slightly gimmicky to be honest with all the different icons. Otherwise it is set out well/

Once I have completed the A-League portfolios later next week before I go back to school, I will get into making some versions similar for the Old Channel Ten Big Bash, Will have a go at Sky Sports and also one personal graphics set for optus sport

India did well to score 488 in a game they weren’t playing in

It’s a overall nice looking set though, far better than much of the crap 9 has thrown up. If there’s one thing to change I reckon I’d use a lighter and smaller font for the scorecards and summaries, just to make it a little less crowded

As some of you may know, Sony Ten currently has many deals in place with many national cricket board, as they attempt to create a monopoly over other tv networks in India and abroad. You may have seen them broadcast the Zimbabwe Tri Series, Zimbabwe vs Pakistan ODI's, West Indies vs Sri Lanka test series, West Indies vs Bangladesh and Sri Lanka vs South Africa series' and seen other highlights of them broadcasting the England v India series. Therefore, I have decided to remake their cricket graphics for you guys to use.

Feedback would be great, watch out as I might attempt to animate that background like on the tv.

Ps, I am starting to try and animate the original concept fully using after effects.
