Vossy retweeting a fake Alastair Lynch. Oops. #hasnoideaabouttwitter

I got sucked in too :(

I so wanted Lynchy to be on Twitter. Lynchy isn't just Fitzroy, Lynchy isn't just the Bears, Lynchy is the freaking BRISBANE LIONS.

Official Lions twitter RT'd it as well.

The real Lynchy wouldn't use the C-word in a tweet.

How could someone be so mean as to do that? It's not fair on Lynchy and it's not fair on the people who hold him in high regard as their childhood hero (seriously, between Lynchys battle with CFS and Joel not giving in after port dumped him, I've been a bit spoilt for people to look up to).

I admit to not fully understanding some tweets in regards to who sent to whom....I just read them only....but...

I could be wrong here, so check out Brock McLeans tweet from last night approx 10pm...if he posted the last bit in that tweet, he should be gone for all time....the man is an idiot and would have to be an embarrassment, even if it is Carlton, and he hasn't learnt a damn thing!!.

..a real loose cannon imo..

You can't help but respect and admire him. Such a well spoken professional.

Completely agree. Would love to see him on twitter though, but doesn't seem like it'll happen.

Looks like some of our players have the right idea

Ooh Aah Ash McGrath

Name: John
Suburb: Tarneit
State: Vic
Question: G'day Ash when are you going to get on Twitter? Massive support for you to get on.

No way John. I think it’s a lot of trouble, this Twitter thing! A lot of boys seem to be getting themselves into trouble and saying things they shouldn’t. You won’t see me there any time soon.

Den Diary: Matt Maguire

I must admit that I’ve never really gotten too carried away by the whole social media phenomenon, but it certainly seems to be having a pretty significant impact on how AFL players are behaving these days.

Sure, I have a Facebook page, but haven’t made the plunge into Twitter just yet.

At least there is some level of privacy with Facebook given you get to choose who your ‘friends’ are, but Twitter posts and can be viewed by anyone and everyone.

While players like Rocky and Stakes make (plenty) use of Twitter, it is clear that they are very careful with their content.

I don't get what the big deal is, it's easy not to be a dickhead or post stupid stuff that could get you in trouble.

...

Nevermind.

I most say, I'm impressed with the way the Lions players like Rocky & Ace deal with trolls on Twitter (compared to Brock M particularly) especially when they just retweet the abuse and let the masses 'ave at it.

Why waste 140 characters and get yourself suspended when you have your own personal lynch mob to do the work for you?

I wish I had my own lynch mob.

Hi weevs, are you also able to show how to actually do that when you've tested it out??....cheers

It's very easy, all you do is post a link to a tweet.

So if you post the below link:

Code:
https://twitter.com/bigfootynews/status/221633476418473984

Instead of showing the link BigFooty shows the tweet itself.

Anyone can do it at any time, I'm just seeing how it works and how I can make it better.

We could go with an option that looks like this, seems to fit the text in better.
