Can you imagine if we won the next 12?!
Finish top 4 and go on to win the flag?!
Opposition clubs and their supporters would flip!
Plus Gunstall555 would win a bet that's hanging by a thread at the moment!

I would like to think we would win the games against Gold Coast and Carlton. Our return matches with Collingwood and Sydney should be winnable also. Fremantle in Fremantle won't be a walk in the park. The rest of our games are against stiff opposition.

I'm going to go with 4 more definite wins, and maybe 2-3 upsets against more fancied opposition. 7 more wins I'd be well and truly happy with. I think the floor here should be at least 5 more wins.

Just taking it one week at a time

We should beat Carlton, GC and Collingwood and could beat North, Freo, Sydney, Freo and Richmond. Little/no chance of knocking off Adelaide, WB or GWS.

If the Port game was in Melbourne I'd back us in but in Adelaide coming off a 6 day break they'll get us.

I think 5-7 more wins is realistic.

I know there is very little chance, but for our youngsters to get a taste of finals would be invaluable, and their hunger double. I want to see JOM, TOM, TOB, Burton & Co. on the MCG in a final.

I haven't given up yet either Thai, let's just keeping the faith There is still a bit left I think

It's one thing to make finals-it's another thing altogether to win them. On exposed form we would be better served developing our youth and tweaking the game plan, as opposed to entertaining ideas of going deep into September.
Sort out the transition and the rest will take care of itself.

I was inferring that there is no experience like finals experience, and to get that into the youngsters this year would be an absolute bonus.

I'm yet to be convinced that merely playing in a final serves any advantage to development of a young player. If that were the case, up and coming teams would continue on a trajectory towards a premiership. That rarely happens, as Richmond, Port Adeliade, West Coast have demonstrated in recent years.

What is far more important is being able to competently predict the behaviors of your team mates in the heat of the contest. And that only happens through game time spent together over a sustained period.

Just going by the Hawthorn strategy that finals are a whole new ball game, I believe to play one, as a young and inexperienced player would be a great experience.

This statement is partially true, in that the outcomes from finals carry different fortunes to those in the home and away season. However, the patterns of play remain the same, and the team that is best able to execute its patterns of play is, most of the time, the team that get the chocolates.
