Did Brisbane advise him his best chance of being drafted was to go to Queensland and play for Zillmere ????

As a player alone he is good enough, but has past indescretions ruled him out.

I heard Matthews was keen on him coming to Brisbane. Was going to play local footy in Melbourne for Roxburgh Park in the Essendon District Football League, but some words from the old man and a call from Leigh Matthews saw him pack his bags for sunny Queensland to play for Zillmere.

Had to prove to Matthews by making the move he wanted to play AFL and was prepared to change his ways.

Does anyone know how he went this year?

Don't know what his off-field stuff has been like this year, but he's been pretty effective for Zillmere.

Ty Zantuck is a lousy piece of crap. Wasted his time at Richmond and Essendon. If he has an attitude good enough, his chances of getting drafted again would be still slim. Crap player and crap person. Big deal if he has been performing really good up there in the Queensland. That league is a joke compared to the SANFL, VFL and WAFL. You would be crazy to draft Zantuck, stuff him!

if he has gotten a wake up call from not playing afl/being delisted, and given up his nightlife ways, and matured up, then there could be a good chance he may be thrown a lifeline.

Davis took a major gamble at the selection table when he included high profile recruit Ty Zantuck alongside club legend Danny Dickfos after both were declared fit from hamstring problems that had plagued them through the second half of the year.

Hasn't made it in the past and now apparently has hamstring problems. I dont think anyone will take the risk. (it is a huge risk)

His biggest problem at Essendon was that he was inconsistent.
Plus Essendon don't really need any more small forwards atm anyway.
