What if we traded out Otten?

I'm all for getting rid of Otto. I was a fan but the West Coast game sorta did if for me. Shadow of the player he was and won't improve on where he is at IMO.
I'd be happier with Goldsack in Otten's spot to be honest.

I wouldn't be judging our defenders just on the Weagles game as our lack of pressure/taking up space from the mids & forwards meant they were up against it. Hence I'm OK with L Thompson getting more games as still unsure if he will make it.

How did Goldsack go against us? I can't remember seeing him at all. Can't see him offering us anything in particular - been around quite a while without setting the world on fire - a good honest, non-descript trier I'd say (we have enough of those types). FWIW - I'd be happy to see Otten gone though - unless he can miraculously gain a couple of yards in pace.

Can't hammer any defender on last weeks effort by our midfield. My thought on Otto though is he hasn't really come on and there have been too many games were he hasn't really been sighted and given his trade value may net us a second rounder, I'd be happy for us to have another young player to help turn our list over a bit. If we can do that and have Sacker on our list for three- four years then good.

IMO Goldsack > Otten

Goldsack is faster, taller and can kick a goal. Plus he defends OK.

Perhaps think they should have chucked Otto forwards for Pods earlier in the year and pumped more games into Hartigan and Thompson, but hindsight and all that.

Not going to comment on whether he's who we should be going after but it does seem that we are in the box seat at the moment.

His girl friend currently lives in Adelaide and allegedly he is very open the move to the crows or power?

Not 100% convinced but not saying no. Thing he could be a very good addition to our half back flank, especially if it means Matthew Jeansch doesn't get a game.

He's been shit all year. The WCE game was just the tipping point.

Averages 11 disposals per game over his career. To put this in perspective, that’s less than Petrenko (tackles included) albeit different roles, but you get the idea.

Goldsack is the type of player that if he went to Sydney like a Ted Richards they would turn him into a real quality player

I am not convinced Goldsack will be the answer to bettering our 22. I don't see him as being better than something we already have. He will add depth to our list while we rebuild our list depth over the next few seasons but bettering our 22 I don't see it.
