Assuming this is the first choice team, I'm glad to see 3/5 of them are in the Lions' academy zone.

Nah Jed Hagan was a gun at that age group level but never grew an inch taller. Fair play to him though. He has racked up 32 league games already for East Fremantle

Pretty remarkable to see 6/25 players listed in the Queensland A team come from Palm Beach Currumbin. To have a quarter of the state A team coming from one club based on the southern Gold Coast is fair effort. The PBC footy factory strikes again.

What sort of depth are the QLD teams going to have?

Do we know if they have an A and B team or are they evenly split? Last year the Suns/Lions Academy team struggled a bit although matched ACT in their final match. Interested to know if that was made up of Academy players that didn't make the QLD team? Good that extra local players get a crack at playing some top level footy though.

Yeah saw it just wasn't sure if it was confirmed or not. Makes Pool A strong with WA, SA and QLD A team together and I think ACT also have a decent team this year.

Seems for some reason they want to align it with the 2 year gap like u16 and u18
But reckon in this case- if it’s not broken no need to fix it. Has worked fine

Sucks if you're 14 this year.

Bottom ager last year, middle ager this year and bottom ager again next year. The year they're 13 ,14 & 15 they will not have had the chance to be a top ager.

Not 100% certain this is accurate but it is close. A few of the NA boys from near the Vic border are in GWS NGA zone but will link up with Bushrangers and Pioneers for 18's I would imagine.

As for players to watch from what I know Noah Keam has played some Under 16 games with Sydney Academy this year, Owen Trickey, Rasmus Borg, and Spencer Millington are all very good players. Hayden Gardiner, Bodhi Charlton and Noah Golds have been strong in the GWS games the last few years.

Hey guys,
Have you heard of the Joseph gatti he is an up and coming player from East Fremantle and looks to be one of the best players of his year group definitely a lock for state 15s this year. Benches 80kg for 6 reps and runs a 6:20 2km time.

Did he play for the u16s this weekend?

If so, agree that he needs a growth spurt - skills are there however
