Draw for the English sides in the 1st round proper of the UEFA Cup

Newcastle (he he) v NAC Breda
Gengerbilge v Blackburn
Scousers v Olypija
Man City v Lokeren

Just about to run out of time on the computer here so not sure who Soton will end up getting. Happy with a trip to Belgium for us.

Sad to see the draw go the same way as the chumps league with seedins and other corruptions in the draw. Haven't really followed things too closely before so I don't know if this has been the case for a while.

Unfortunately it has been that way for a while.

They don't even have a draw every round, you know that you'll be playing the winner of a certain tie, it's crap.

We've got Steaua Bucharest

Apparently the hardest of the teams that it could have been but the club were happy to avoid playing a Turkish team which may have made it hard for our supporters to travel for our first European campaign in 19 years.

Hopefully we are playing better by then, I think we'd struggle to score against the Solomon Islands at the moment.

Are you going to Belgium to see the match?

City's first European trip since '79 (?).....it'd be something special.

I will if I can get a ticket. A few of our message boards are saying we will only have 800+ allocated, so unless they move to a bigger stadium I might find it a bit difficult. I would imagine the demand will be pretty high for this one.
