I lost O'Keefe and have the unreliable Sherman to replace him.
I lost Ryder, but I'm not as fussed as there another player ready to take their place and at least provide some stats. Cooney put 1 kick and 1 mark on the board and then went off injured, I can't replace him with anyone, can't help but think that it might cost me.
Also, you owe Schulz a Xmas card this year

I'll just have to wonder what might've happened if Cooney hadn't been injured.
Mainly, I've got myself to blame though, I was planning on dropping Trengove to get Grigg into the game (Trengove was only there for hitouts) once it was apparent that I didn't have the numbers to win that cat, but I slept in

I got up in the end, 5-4. I won kicks by 4, VC won handballs by 3, i won marks by 8, hitouts by 3 and he won tackles by 3...

That is a very strange way to win, but i'll take it none the less.
Thanks for the game Rocky it was a very close game and will probably be my last win of the season. Seasharp will be a very hard task as the last two times I've played him hes beaten me 7-1 and 7-2.

Anything could happen with SeaSharp, he's had some unstoppable rounds, and some poor ones. A full strength Raiders would've been a different prospect, technically, I had Ryder, Cooney, Vince, Davey, Grimes and Kreuzer all missing today
I'll try and get a win against JTFC next week, but for now, I'm off to drown my sorrows.

Just thought i'd pop by to announce that I have two guys who are definite ins for next year and will stay active. They are Fantasy Footy nuts, so there won't be any issues.
Tryin to talk my brother into it as well, so if everyone who has been active for the last two seasons back up again, that would give us 11 players (if my bro signs on).
Also just wanted to put the idea of making this a keeper league out there for future seasons.

A keeper league? So we'd keep the players we had from the previous season?
Personally, I like the idea, but there'll always be players who's teams are less competitive. I guess a lot can happen from one season to the next.. also, it'd make competing in any one season quite difficult. I've dropped Kreuzer, Cooney, Vince and Davey through injury this season, if it was a keeper league (assuming that's what you meant) then I'd be wanting to keep them on my list for the following season...

A keeper league is sort of a combination between a standard draft league and a dynasty league. Each preseason, most of the players are drafted, however, owners are allowed to keep a predetermined number of players on their roster from the year before. Most league rules allow only a handful of players to be retained by each team from year to year.
Interesting idea. Without thinking too much about it I tend to agree with Rocky. Players who were/had long term injuries are likely to have been traded/delisted as they provided no value this year but could be good value next year.
I'll assume we're thinking of doing the normal draft next year and then making it a 'keeper' from that point onwards?
And for the record, I think I'd like to go back to a live draft. If people are going to play hard-ball with trading I'd like the opportunity to select my squad rather than leave it to pre-draft rankings.
As you have no idea where guys are going you end up with a skewed squad that can be tricky to trade out of.
