Without sounding sexist compare this Crows Dance Team with this
template.php
Maybe we know why the players aren't fired up?

Bugger it, it does sound sexist

well the main difference is that one lot was able to attend college as a cheerleader! and the other lot do it for a hobby.

But I agree that I really dislike our "dance team" their routines are boring and way too long. I was always taught when doing a display to make it "short, sharp and shiny" none of these can apply to the crows girls except the last one with some of the shocking clothes they wear. My sister and I actually tried out one year to see what they were actually looking for, instead of just always sitting in our seats bagging them and I can tell you that the girls that have been with the squad for a long time were often confused by what the choreographer was telling them to do.

Firsly I think that if the Adelaide Cheerleaders had a professional photo taken by the Playboy photographer, they would look great instead of some photo of them probably taken just after a routine practice or similar.

IMHO Adelaide (as a city) has some of the most beautiful girls in the world.
And that's coming from an expert. ;)

I actually reckon' the crows girls look better. As you say given the photo opportunity, I think they'd look pretty damn fine. Adelaide girls are beautiful but Queensland girls are better, from another expert...albeit an old expert.

A man with some fine Eastern Europe taste

I was a little disappointed with Brazil to be honest. You do get some out and out stunners but also a fair share of not sos.....Plus they like BIG BUMS and actually have collagen (or the equivalent) injections to make themself bigger

As for Mexico I have to admit I didnt think the general population was that stunning - compared to Sweden etc where most people (including the blokes - apparently) seemed tall, tanned, athletic with many fine attirbutes ;)

Springchoke I hope your joking

O.k southern and northern suburbs aside (mind you at Port Norlunga yesterday damn !!!)

Adelaide is great for eye candy

Adelaide has some nice ladies but they don't compare to the countries I listed . I love the dark latin look, Salma Hayak not Miriam.

Is anyone else concerned with the level of obesity or overweight people now in Oz? I knew for years we were catching the US as the fattest nation in the world but a report I saw recently (which mainly focussed on Aussie women) were that they are now the largest in the world (3kgs heavier than US women) and size 14-16 is the new norm. Im sure similar stats exist for Aussie men also based on my observations up here in Brissie (which is also the fattest city in Oz)

SO much for being an outdoor sporty nation - more like an indoor TV sport watching nation with the bar fridge and 3 remote controls within reach

The photographer has a lot to do with the difference in photos... I was impressed with some of the form in Adelaide when I was there last year, but the pool is smaller. ;)

Top three (only been to ~10 countries):
1. Ukraine - just about got whiplash the first day I was there, mini-skirt heaven.
2. Sweden - hot, hot, hot!
3. Netherlands - liberal-minded and on average the tallest women in the world.

Never been to South America but would love to, I must admit I always love going back to Europe... leaving to Minsk tomorrow for a month and will also visit Budapest... :D

well that does make it difficult to compete then doesn’t it !!

Mind you I think the obesity is becoming a big problem - do you notice people are either really fat or not at all, there doesn’t seem to be many people like me (i like the term festively plump)

as I said I was at Port Norlunga yesterday and the chicks (ok and the guys but it wasnt like i was looking :o ) were either pretty tidy or just plain large

I think in a perfect world they should take your blood at birth and put down what you should and shouldnt eat, and maybe bring in tax deductions on sport memberships and/or equipment

Where do you guys get the time & $$ to travel overseas so much to so many different country's ??

I've been overseas once in the last 20 years but intend going over to the UK, Ireland & maybe Italy in the next year or so.

Anyone been to Canada ? as my wife is real keen on visiting there.

I reckon the key is when you go travelling to try and do a big trip (if you can get enough time off and if saved enough dosh). The cost of air travel from a remote location like Oz is a huge hurdle to do only short trips

I have done 4 x 3 months plus travels in the last decade - normally with an around the world air fare which costs approx 3-4K (compared to a normal 2K return to Europe/USA). It is certainly easier and cheaper for a number of reasons as a solo traveller than with partner/kids etc

Alot of the world isnt that expensive, especially as an independent traveller so try and avoid bus tours - most of central/South America, most of Asia and Eastern Europe are cheap if you research and have your Lonely Planet handy. Ditto Africa (from what I understand as havent been there). Obviously the US and Western Europe are the opposite and are higher cost (but can still be done on a budget)

I have only been to Montreal, Toronto (both decent cities but I wouldnt go out of my wait to see them) and Niagra Falls in Canada (pretty amazing). The West Coast with the Rockies and Vancouver looks pretty spectacular
