how did Heater get a week, then Max Rooke and that Essendon player have ' no case to answer '

it is a stupid rule, but why did Heath get caned and not the others.

:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Rookes was even worse than Heaters! He actually grabbed the umps shirt.
This is clear and utter bias and the flip floppers at the AFL have done it again.

No use complaining over seperate incidents, the current AFL commision, is a rabble. Until we get rid of them, we will do exactly what we are told. We are pussys, who can't identify the issues that are occuring in the running of the AFL, which is as a Dictatorship currently. We have to identify that before anything is done. Because the people that it will take to make a change at the very top are brainwashed, and in fear of losing their own personal position within the AFL or in any club, we are a long way off anything ever being fair in our game.

All these incidents mean something at the time, to the clubs and supporters, but the AFL think, "They'll shut up in a weeks time", "Time will take the emotion out of it, and we will go back to our bullying way of leading", We've even got Eddie bluffed, when he talks, people are more interested in having pot shots at him, (for being Eddie everywhere, or being loud or bias), than to back him, and overthrow this rubbish administraion that is slowly changing our game into a joke.

They are laughing their heads off, and the rest of us, are just dumb, so we should all act like it, and not be able to come up with sensible input. Not even the clubs get that chance from the AFL

The AFL in all its wisdom (or lack of), has come to the conclusion that they made a mistake with the Heath Shaw case, and are admitting as much by not making that mistake again.

I'm actually glad neither Slattery or Rooke were fined or suspended, because like Heath, in the spirit of the game they did absolutely nothing wrong.

Heath Shaw should consider suing the AFL for loss of match payments, because they have just admitted publicly that they made a mistake in his case.

It's easy to explain the turnaround, the AFL knows they made a mistake, and dont want to make more then one precedent that could be used by the prosecutors at the tribunal in further similar cases.

The good old AFL, couldnt run a chook raffle at an under 10's match, yet they expect us to have the confidence in them to run the largest sporting competition in this country.

Have a cry , shaws was completly different to these two , but still not worth a week . I think you can blame eddie by opening his big trap.
so pushing an umpire in the chest and grabbing his shirt is different now is it?

they were not touched in either situation?

STFU and run along now school boy, this is a big person discussion

The club cant do much so its up to the supporters to give it to the maggotts buy the truck loads.

And they wonder why we feel aggreived with the umpires and the AFL at the moment. Total double standards by the AFL, and their sole intention is to trick us into making an outburst so they can slap a fine and us and show us who's in charge.

The MRP is a complete joke, the general level of umpiring is poor, and Anderson is a slimy little prick. Really disillusioned with the AFL right now.

The difference with the Shaw case opposed to the rest is that Vozzo kicked up a fuss about being touched whereas the other incident have gone without mention by the umpires. The AFL probably felt that with Vozzo kicking up a fuss they could set an example and prevent contact from happening. Instead its just made us and the media more alert to it. The rule is stupid but there needs to be consistency.

the rooke incident the umpire clearly says let go and then please go away

the umpire new it had happened

here is a pic from Geelong Advertiser
I am also sure the ump said something like ' dont pull my shirt ..'

Rooke will come under scrutiny today after making some contact with umpire Chris Kamolins during the final quarter.

The incident came after a Cameron Mooney shot at goal, that held up on the goal line in a stiff breeze.

As players and umpires milled around the area as a decision was made - it was ultimately ruled touched, and a behind - Rooke pulled on Kamolins' shirt from behind.

Kamolins then gestured for Rooke to move away from the area, but it's unclear whether we was aware of the contact.

There's only one answer, I'm afraid. The umpires and the AFL at large are a complete ****ing joke.

None of these guys (Shaw, Rooke, Slattery) should have gotten so much as a reprimand, of course we give away 50m and a week's suspension. People can say we're complaining all they like, the fact is that that's what people do when they're being taken for a ride week in, week out.

The current catchcry of the Pie-haters is "the free kick tally doesn't have to be even"; well no, it doesn't, but on the balance of probability it should be even or in our favour more often than once in 9 games.

Rooke didn't push an umpire, pretty simple really.
Most people should read the statements from the tribunal before asking 'why?' about all the decisions.

p.s. it's all an anti Collingwood conspiracy

That's right, your situation was completely different to ours, because pulling a jumper and touching an arm are as different as day and night.

I'm not saying the umpire didn't know i'm saying the umpire didn't have a hissy fit and report him on the spot turning it into the shitstorm that shaws was. Had Vozzo just said "Don't touch me walk away" that would have been the last of it.
