Do you even know the rules Wayne!

The Laws of Australian Football state:

15.10.1 A Free Kick shall be awarded against a Player or a Team where the field Umpire is of the opinion that:

(b) an Official of the Team or such other person of the Team who may from time to time be permitted onto the Playing Surface, intentionally, recklessly or negligently interferes with the football, a Player of the opposition Team, an Umpire or general play;

Time to resurrect Helen Keller. She was blind and deaf like the AFL umpires. Surely she couldn't do any worse. Added bonus is that she had a brain and knew how to use it.

Disappointing? That's not exactly the right words. Proud that they cheated is more apt.

I wonder if anyone is going to question the fact that the betting market exploded from Carlton going from $3.40 to $5.00+ in the days leading up to the game. To change the betting market that much infers that there was a bet of almost astronomical proportions laid out for Geelong to win. Funny that some of the worst umpiring mistakes in the match occurred A) when Carlton had an advantage and B) late in the game with Geelong in front.

Meredith will be coached this week? You mean to infer that he wasn't already?

They took responsibility, we still don't have the 4 points.

If there's a lesson in this, it's don't waste your chances when they're there. We should never have been in a position to lose the game after being 16 points up in the last. Our players got tired and it showed but Garlett was a larger liability to the side than the umpiring.

That 'non' centre bounce!

What do you mean he will be coached Wayne.

He should be dropped!

As harsh as this is right now I am thinking his parents made a huge mistake 9 months before he was born!

Had to laugh at Campbell's choice of words with the Menz incident - the ump was 'unsighted'. No shit!:p:mad:
Ultimately he was happy for it not to have been paid because the umpire was unsighted (despite there being 3 umpires on the ground). That was a good excuse in the 1990's. 15 years later ... not so much.

Now we have a poll!

Were the Blues robbed by the umpires!

LINK

Link doesn't work for me. But if they felt the necessity for a poll in the first place it answers their question.

So, even the director of coaching admits that they affected the outcome of the game ...

Can we put the argument about umpires affecting the results of games to bed now?
