Im not sure about that one. I think as long as it was a forearm, body, its okay. I wouldnt want that paid against Harry.

You can't smash someone in the back in a completely separate motion to taking a mark. Forearm, body, makes no difference.

I would love to know what the umps are told regarding the holding the ball rule.

It seems once or twice every quarter they just pay holding the ball when they player has no prior, is tackled instantly and the balls held in.

They then revert to not not paying the next 5 by the same standard.

Was very inconsistent throughout the game last night.

Think taking front position in that circumstance was a poor choice. Had a run at the ball, could have jumped and punched through for a point.

He was screwed either way - bloke is bigger with a massive vertical leap - if he was behind there’s every chance he just marks it at its highest point & then u ask why wasn’t he in front of him.
They should have paid the bloody free - it was there

He's normally pretty level headed with his analysis, but got a bit fired up about some of the decisions or non-decisions from last nite - especially Harry getting punched in the face, and Haynes getting his jumper ripped off with no frees paid.

Harry gets mauled at virtually every contest week in week out and receives very little from the umps.

The weird bermuda triangle the AFL goes to when a player is shepparding another player for a ball that may go in is bizarre. Something that would be a free kick in any other scenario is never paid.

This is even worse though, because the ball didnt even to through. Was a blatant hold and stopped hin getting back to defend Daicos on the line.
