I dont normally get upset with the umpiring, but, is it just me or have the bulldogs got at least 5-6 goals tonight from free kicks??

Maybe. But just as many from Essendon mistakes. Can't do anything about the umpires, we need to eliminate the mistakes.

Thought they where not to bad tonight. We were not good enough fair and square. Where to from here?

They got 8 goals from free kicks. Anyway we played shit and if we continue to play like that then 30+ losses are going to happen week in week out.

lol you could probably track most goals back to free kicks if you go back far enough in the build up. I didn't really see much wrong, a couple of incorrect decisions each way maybe. It was a very even match and the 33 pt scoreline flattered us. Really your kicking for goal cost you more than the umpires ever could.

that softy against laycock
and against slattery, how is it in the back when he trips over a player on the ground?
apart from that the worst decision was not paying delibrate against mcphee....awful awful decision
they really are clueless

From where the umpire was it would have looked like it just came out in the tackle. Having said that the boundary ump could have said something and if it came out in the tackle it should have been holding the ball. But I can certainly see why they didnt give it.

I thought the umpires were terrible tonight.

Played a huge role in the Dogs' first quarter goals .. the push in the back free against Slattery (esp given one that was far worse then wasn't paid to Gus Monfries up the other end) and that 8 metre pass to a Bulldogs forward were shockers. From there, we were fighting from 4 goals behind for the rest of the night.

They got a little bit better after that but then paid two more horror free kicks the Dogs' way at crucial centre bounces in the last quarter. Honestly, if either the Cooney or the Darcy free kick was a correct call, then I'm the Queen Mother.

There were two absolutely blatant free kicks to Lucas in the last quarter that weren't paid either. As for the alleged 'throws' by Dyson and Peverill, don't even get me started - if you didn't clearly see them throw it you maggot, then don't guess FFS. The game isn't about you making a spectacle of yourself.

Fair enough, we played poorly and there was an awful deliberate oob that wasn't paid against McPhee .. but jeez, we got a terrible run tonight.

When most of these clowns can't even bounce the ball properly for at least about a third of the night, you know they're not genuine AFL standard.

Shocking performance. :thumbsd:

If the umpires weren't so bad we would of been within 5 points at 3/4 time, and if we were that close, judging from matches this year, we would of run away with the win in a blockbuster.
