Insane, the ball moved significantly. So hard to watch this sport these days. It’s sad
The umps never get dropped, they never get criticised (by their employer)
Worst officiated sport in the world by a million miles. Nothing else is even in the conversation.

Its a debacle but what would you expect from the corrupt idiots at AFL house. They're too busy hiding drug cheats.

The players play their guts out all day and then the umps miss a howler and because they're upset and don't just take it they're punished again?

On the round so far - Kane Cornes adamant it wasn't touched and it was a mark... Seriously Kane stop shitting your pants in front of everyone.

Of course the corrupt AFL media used a camera angle that was impossible to tell it was touched. What a surprise. Have they no shame.

Channel 7 posted a fans shots with these captions. I like how Longmuir said what he had to say otherwise he would be fined. “But it’s a really hard call for the umpire to make ... we just need to move on because the umpires are never going to backtrack.” The problem obviously is that we just don't have enough umpires on the field, I recommend they have one following each player around to stop this type of thing from happening again. And if two umpires make opposite decisions they do rock, paper, scissors to see who's decision is the right one, it's only fair. Seriously though didn't we have less problems when we had one umpire, the AFL brought in two, then three and four, and it's only got worse.

Broadcast angles left many unconvinced that Fremantle had claims to Cottrell’s mark having been touched, a majority view forming that the ball only appeared to brush Aish’s hair.

Since then, though, fan footage from behind the goals at the opposite end has confirmed the Sherrin took a significant deflection off his tricep and shoulder.

Chris Scott says “No one could accuse me of being a sycophant for the AFL, but when they do a good job I’m prepared to acknowledge it.”

The gall of this bloke when his equally stupid brother was working at AFL hq for year or two and also Hocking, the place is infested with geelong parasites

What do they mean “broad cast angles”. I have only seen one angle. I assume that the other six cameras were switched off at that particular second otherwise why wouldn’t the afl make all the footage from all the cameras available? Showing all the available footage from all the cameras would be the perfect way for the afl to show what an open honest and transparent organisation it is. Actually I think I just answered my own question.

My theory is the inconsistency is getting worse from game to game because of the 'increase" in the number out there. Yes there are more eyes to see what's happening, but that also brings in more 'opinions'. What one umpire sees as a free, another doesn't. One umpire wouldn't see as much obviously, but more likely to be consistent on the decisions for the game.

Now, incorrect disposal, in the back, holding (the arm wrap around is a joke), and don't get me started on ruck contests. When you watch a few games over the weekend, you see just how inconsistent they are. They need to be better - they are supposed to be the best tin the country FFS

I only saw the last 10 minutes and I saw 1 missed holding the ball we should have given away, the rest was one way traffic to St kilda. We could have played better but the umpiring clearly helped the saints.

Corrupt umpire Michael Pell calling out his hatred to Freo's Clarke says all you need to know about these ass clown umpires.

More bent than a dogs hind leg

Michael Pell, a former AFL umpire who resigned in late 2022 after being arrested on conspiracy of supplying inside information to others around Brownlow Medal votes, took aim at “spoilt brat” Clark on social media for having history in mistreating umpires, saying “guess he still hasn’t learnt.”
